About this listen

Learn to create resilience and happiness no matter what's going on in your life.

In these tough times, there are few people who are completely happy with the current conditions. From business executives to the everyday Joe or Jane, everyone seems to be going through a rough economic and personal crunch. But Srikumar Rao, a former business school professor and the head of The Rao Institute, says that we can learn to create joy no matter what else may be going on around us.

Rao shows you that it isn't the negative thing that happens to you that causes your unhappiness, it's how you see it. Happiness at Work is a thought-provoking title that moves the mind away from negativity and forces you to resist labeling situations as "bad," but rather see them as neutral.

Happiness at Work provides:

  • Surprising ways of looking at change and problem-solving
  • Exercises that shift one's perspective

Learn the vital wisdom necessary to achieving a joyful, successful life as you define it through greater resilience and a strong inner core.

Wow! The thoughts in this book have challenged me

It's been a long time since I listened to ideas that have challenged and motivated me to think about who I am, how I fit in society, and the effect my biases and perceptions have on me and others. The book provides simple yet powerful steps to create lasting changes. I've always felt that I can navigate through life's changes pretty well, but what is startling is that real change is much simpler to do, and that makes the ideas in this book so powerful and mystifying.. The author makes perfect sense but it doesn't mean that the new path being created is no less complicated than the current one, but there is a greater sense of peace in the journey that makes the process so amazing.
