Publisher's summary

Callahan Garrity is the owner of House Mouse, a cleaning service that tidies up after Atlanta's elite. She's also a former cop and a part-time sleuth. She and her coterie of devoted helpers can ransack a house for clues faster than it takes a fingerprint to set.

Keeping Rita Fontaine, a washed-up 1960s teenage rock star, out of jail is a tough job. It's nothing less than murder when Stu Hightower, the vain, temperamental president of a thriving Atlanta recording company, is found murdered in the den of his posh home. His only companions are the slug in his heart and Rita, dead drunk and looking guilty. Callahan believes in Rita's innocence, but discovering who killed Hightower could send her floating down a river of lost dreams without a paddle.

Good but not great

I love Mary Kay Andrews books. But, this wasn’t one of my favorites. I had a hard time staying interested. However, Hillary Huber’s performance was excellent.

Good read...but...

Great plot! :-) Good development of characters. Probably the best in the series for me thus far. BUT a bit too much cursing for my taste... too many F bombs. :-(
....would have given it an overall 5 stars had if not been for that.

Good book, which I liked better than #2.

Good book when you miss reading and don’t want a mushy unrealistic love story. This book has a touch of live story, but it is realistic. I love that this person writes realistic everyday personal relationships, even with family members!
