Publisher's summary

Hearts on Fire is the final book in USA Today best-selling author Catherine Wiltcher's dark and thrilling Santiago Trilogy.

My Devil:

He came into my life like a raging storm.

The man I despised.

The killer with no conscience.

I fell as hard as a woman like me can fall.

When he bleeds, I feel his pain. When we kiss, I taste his tragedy. When he kills, my heart is stained with all the colors of his vengeance.

My Angel:

I was the captor who became the captivated.

Her light was a blazing trail, illuminating the bullet holes that studded my darkness.

I betrayed, but she forgave.

Now, we're standing on the threshold of hell, and everyone around us is burning.

Trust no one.

Seek the truth.

Deliver justice.

We have no choice but to finish this war....together.

🌻I enjoyed this trilogy, overall🌻

Although this was an enjoyable listen, it was pretty predictable, at times; however, most romances are.

The Hero was an emotionally scarred anti-hero and the heroine was somewhat naive. I had to take a few breaks, from their story, because Eve, the heroine, annoyed me with some of her behavior.

Was this listen worth three credits? No, not really, each book wasn’t long enough to justify three credits, in my opinion. I’m guessing that the entire trilogy will be available as a complete novel, in the future, and that would be the time to buy and listen.

fire

yet another great story. lots of action and really great romance. I wish the author could have put more of
Joseph and Anna in this story. I didn't care for the ending as much. after being double cross by the FBI to even think about getting involved with them again is crazy.

Wow! Dark, brilliant, perfection!

Dante, dark, haunted, damaged, a man marked by a past that’s nearly destroyed him. Eve, Dante’s destiny and the one woman who can bring him to his knees. Hearts on Fire is the riveting conclusion to the trilogy that is Dante and Eve’s story! Brilliantly written, fabulously narrated and every bit as dark, haunting, and engrossing as parts one and two, Hearts on Fire is filled with action, betrayal, twists, turns, heat, and fire! I don’t want to engage in spoilers, so I won’t go into plot details except to say that every time I thought I knew “who done it” so to speak, convinced I “had the answer”, Catherine Wiltcher not only surprised me, she made it all make sense while moving the plot forward and not leaving me shaking my head! Truly the mark of a great author! Her characters continued to grow, change and developed beautifully throughout book three and I really love the people that Dante, Eve and Joseph became. As for some of the others, where would we be without those characters that you love to hate, and detest them I did! All the characters seemed so real, I felt like I knew them, like they really existed! The dialogue was smooth, believable and filled with emotion. The narration made this one the complete package. Sarah Puckett and JF Harding did an excellent job breathing life into Eve, Dante and Joseph. It was clear who was speaking, and what emotions the character was feeling. It was so easy to get lost in this dark, beautiful, fabulous story, and believe me when I say I did get lost. This story was at times painful to listen to, at times tragic, but I am so glad I experienced it because when all is said and done, it is a beautiful story. A story about unconditional love, redemption and finding your forever. Catherine Wiltcher, Sarah Puckett, JF Harding, I wish I could award you every star in the universe but I will have to settle for five.

Excellent Conclusion!

This is the third and last book in the Santiago Trilogy, a Dark Mafia Romance. Eve and Dante’s story continues where the second book left off. The storyline is action packed, suspenseful, and steamy, filled with secrets, angst, and twists and turns. The world building is intricate and captivating. We learn more about Dante’s past, and his ties with Joseph, his second in command. This is a breathtaking conclusion to this amazing trilogy. Sarah Puckett and JF Harding brilliantly bring this story to life. I loved to have the third POVs from Dante, Eve, and Joseph. This is an excellent trilogy, and I highly recommend it. Joseph is an enigmatic character, and I can’t wait to listen to his story in the Grayson Duet. #TheFlock

Sinfully dark

All good things must come to an end.

Dante will forever leave a dark mark on my soul. His over-the-top alpha behavior is what gets me going and how I love my anti-heroes in a mafia romance book. This third installment brought me so much closure. First and foremost, we get the backstory to Dante and his secondhand man, and how their friendship started and grew over the years.

Eve's situation left me feeling sick to my stomach. The lies she was led to believe growing up have finally been unveiled and this sweet and selfless girl just keeps taking hit after hit.

J.F. Harding and Sarah Puckett warmed my heart with their wonderful narration. I love how they make every climatic scene so emotional and intense. So if you're thinking about picking this trilogy up, then have a whirl at the audiobooks. You won't be disappointed!

The Santiago Trilogy is a dark, riveting and delicious tale of love, loyalty and betrayal. So take a seat. Strap in and get ready for a quick getaway with some violent acts of crime in this sinfully hot romance!

Excellent conclusion to an excellent series

This was the first series I've read/listened to by Catherine Wiltcher. This is a trilogy, so you must read the two books that came before. Dante and Eve’s story was heart pounding and twisty. I loved getting to know the characters more in this book and reaching a satisfying end. Such a great listen.

JF Harding and Sarah Puckett are excellent narrators. They brought this book to life. It rolled like a movie in my head. Easy to listen to voices.

Fitting ending for the trilogy

The story, like the other 2, was hot, action packed, suspenseful & captivating. There was one scene between Dante & Joseph that I really wanted to just end the book. Joseph should have punched him and told him to look up the definition to compassion lol.

Hearts on Fire

This is the last book in The Santiago Trilogy. Dante Santiago is classified as one of the cruelest men alive. He has no mercy. The only person to ever crack this outer shell and catch a glimpse beyond was Eve. Book 2 ended with her bestfriend getting take. Dante has promised Eve that he will get her back. I loved this series. Sarah Puckett and JF Harding did a fantastic job narrating.
