Another great short story by Becca! I love listening to these Amish stories on short road trips, while I am sewing, baking, etc. The story of Patricia was entertaining and pulled at my heart. This was an uplifting story of a dream coming true in unexpected moments and places.

Beth, you feel for her, second guessing once again even though married. Good story of how she struggles, with accepting herself and the love she has. Given ARC audio which is good for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

I'm glad that Ms. Fisher wrote a story where the main character didn't win the big prize right away and slide into a perfect life, but still had the courage to chase her dream rather than slink off home and give up at the first sign of difficulty. This was my favorite story of all the ones I've reviewed for her.

A short sweet Amish story about never losing faith.

Patricia has left for the big city to follow her dreams of becoming a singer. She has not given up on her faith. In staying true to her beliefs she realizes that things happen for a reason.

While this was a super short story, by Becca Fisher, I really enjoyed it.

Stephanie Richardson did a lovely job with the narration. A great performance.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Heavenly Purpose (Audible Audio), my twenty-second read from Christian author Becca Fisher. An enjoyable, 57-minute short read/listen. I have to say that the author packs a lot into the pages of this Amish novelette. The message within its pages is powerful and should be read by all, this is perhaps Fisher’s best work that I’ve read. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Stephanie Richardson’s narration adds to the short book's enjoyment. I'll be reading more from this author. Patricia leaves her Amish home in Lancaster to pursue her dream of a career in Christian music. In the big city, she finds a family to rent a room from, a church where she can worship and sing in the choir, and a job singing--as a singing waitress in a restaurant. She's got good people around her, but she's not making much progress on her dream.

She's also found a rival, another young Amish woman, Valerie, at her new church, who also has dreams of a music career, and is prepared to cut down anyone who might be in her way. Valerie is beautiful and also an excellent singer.

Then two things happen. First, she meets a young man, David, whom she shares a strong attraction with, and who supports her dream as much as she does.

The second is a chance to enter a contest, a Christian music contest with a prize of $1,000 and contract with a Christian music label.

Valerie, of course, also enters.

Patricia is convinced this is the end of her dream, but her landlords/friends, and David, continue to show real confidence in her.

This is a sweet, gentle story, about keeping both your values and your dreams.

Recommended.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from the publisher, and am reviewing it voluntarily.

I am required to say that I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review. My honest opinion is that I highly recommend this book and series! Once again Becca Fisher doesn't disappoint as we see Patricia's plans unfold. She has moved to the city to pursue a singing career. Along the way, she looks for Mr. Right. Since this is a novella I don't want to give too much away, but we see Patricia grow and mature as she learns some life lessons. Stephanie Richardson is a wonderful narrator and brings the stories to life with her easy reading style. You forget that you're listening to an audiobook and are drawn into the story. Excellent series of novellas!

Patricia leaves the comfort of her home to pursue her singing career. Growing up Amish has instilled a deep faith in her, and when things don't go her way, she looks into herself and God for the guidance. I love these short listens. The characters are easy to relate to, and this was especially entertaining as Patricia not only dives into singing, but may have found her Mr. Right! But will she find her purpose? And is he the one for her? Give it a listen and find out. Stephanie Richardson continues her narration with all the feels of a girl on a mission!
