About this listen

A bestselling author known for her steamy, modern romances, Sandra Brown creates vivid portraits of flesh and blood characters. With her clever, clear plotting, she glowingly captures couples as they discover new passions.

Fiery Blair Simpson's only ambition in life is dancing, but knee injuries force her to postpone her promising career on Broadway for six long months. Seeking a quieter life by moving to a small town, she focuses on her recovery and return to the stage. But her attractive new landlord, Sean Garrett, diverts her attention by bringing new feelings to life in her heart.

Sandra Brown's characters glow with the excitement of blossoming love, fervent longing, and tender heartbreak. Peter Francis James' talented narration makes Heaven's Price pure bliss.

Break from the Norm

ok for those of you that find this book not so good. well your wrong. so what with the descriptive sex. Sandra always includes some romance/sex in her books. that's why I love her books!! so what at the beginning it was prudy to some of you..,.omg how dare he kind of attitude!! . it was harmless and funny. come on people she wrote a romance with out the norm mystery. I think it was cute! it was different from her other books for sure, but it was so funny. have a sense of humor and don't be so lame. I was impressed that she went out of her norm. I laughed at the chemistry and banter between the 2. come on...it's a cute love story! I love her books and found that she has quite the sense of humor with romance. good job Sandra. Fun read!!

Great book

Sandra Brown never lets me down. She writes in such a way that includes one as if she were there experiencing every thing as it happens

Real characters

I thought the performance was too slow at first. As the story evolved, the performer did too. Characters were realistic.Easy to be submerged into the characters’ lives. Nice flow in developments

Fair

Not a lot of substance. Just the man trying to constantly get with the girl from the beginning to the end. The narration also takes some getting used to.

Same of Sad Love Story

What disappointed you about Heaven's Price?

It was a typical sad love story. No real emphasis or story line

What could Sandra Brown have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Have a more interesting story line.

Would you be willing to try another one of Peter Francis James’s performances?

yes

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

disappointment. This is not a book that I would like to listen to again.

Any additional comments?

Majority of Sandra Brown books I have purchased over the years I have listen to numerous times. This one I wouldn't want to listen to again. It was pitiful.

Lots of sex no character development

I was not a fan of this at all. No time taken to develop the characters. It came at the end as the story was wrapping up. It reminds me of a late night cable skinamax short movie with all of the sex scenes.

Maybe because it's from the 80's???

First, I have to say I could not finish this book. I didn't even get too far. The male protagonist took complete advantage of her and did not take No for an answer. She was dumb as a rock. And the 80's clothing and moustache were a real turn off. I liked the narrator and thought he did a fine job.

Odd pace

I could not get through this book. The story just didn’t develop. Normally Sandra Brown is one of my go to authors, but this book was just too off the beaten path. The couple got together too quickly in an odd way. I just couldn’t get into it.
