It was a nonplot. One spent the entire time thinking that the main female character was stupid and nondeserving. I usually love Sandra Brown books, but I would never recommend this one.

This story is direct and well described. It was so easy to see things as she described them.

This was an interesting book and the end was great. I had to keep fast forwarding through all long drawn out sex sagas.

As one reviewer noted, this is definitely dated, but kind of a nostalgic blast from the past if you don't mind the chauvanism. I love Sandra Brown, but I love her thrillers more than her love stories!! Considering that, this one was OK.

I struggled to get thru this book. I'm guessing it's an early one. I missed the adventures and mystery of the others. And I didn't care for the sometimes misogynistic attitude of the main male character

I LISTENED TO THIS BOOK WHILE DRIVING FOR 9 HOURS . MADE THE TIME GO BY VERY QUICKLY AND ENJOYABLY

I am a big fan of Ms Brown’s books in general.
In this book which I suspect is an earlier work of hers, the mystery and suspense was lacking, but I knew that going in.
What was really annoying though was the self pitying FMC, and the slightly stalkerish MMC.
Yes, our heroine had lost her husband in a terrible way, but no one forced her to get into a relationship with our hero. The whole story felt contrived and rushed. You didn’t really get close to and understand the characters in my opinion.
The one character that I really liked was the best friend and she had a glorious moment towards the end which was long overdue.
Jack Garrett, the narrator, did a good job as always.
Onwards to another Sandra Brown with the usual combination of suspense and romance.
