Publisher's summary

Jane Barnaby thought she'd planned the perfect Christmas vacation. She'd invited her father and his fiancée to join her in Spain at her archaeological dig. They'd see her work, meet her mentor and enjoy a few days of sunny Mediterranean beaches in the dead of winter. What could go wrong?

Her annoying brother tagging along, and then landing in jail for a crime he didn't commit, for one thing.

To clear her brother's name and make her vacation perfect again, all Jane has to do is chase the mystery woman who set her brother up across Europe, find her in a dangerous and unfamiliar city and deal with her accomplices. Oh, and outwit an ex-KGB agent and his personal goon squad, too.

It's going to be an exciting and action-packed Christmas for Jane, whether she wants it or not!

Another great story!

Yet again, Jane is forced to go on a trip through several countries while hunting down nefarious characters - this time to help her brother. Jane is accompanied by her soon to be step-mom and we get to see how her actions look to those outside of her. The really funny part is that they are both having the same thoughts, but Jane has the nerve or chutzpah or just stupid bravery to keep going forward. Even though this was a Christmas adventure, there wasn't much of the holiday in it which was mildly disappointing. However, the plot and the action are enough to keep the reader entertained and listening to the end which was picture-postcard perfect.

The narrator is the same as the last two books in the series which I really appreciate. She has the attitude of Jane perfectly and draws you instantly into the story. She is Jane Barnaby.

Bottom Line: I hope there is another book to this highly entertaining series soon!

Her Brother's Keeper

Any additional comments?

This is another great addition to the series. Jane's thought process is always keeping her in the center of trouble(or ahead of the bad guys, depending on how you see it). This adventure starts with the family visiting her at the dig site for Christmas. Volunteers also arrive for the experience. This is supposed to be relaxing, but things start in chaos as a lady (Cheryl) who never shuts up and is driving everyone nuts from the beginning. So Jane takes everyone next door to the hotel for drinks and dinner. It starts from here when Jane's brother gets lured in by a Hot Russian girl, and the adventure begins. Great narration and story!

Another well-written story from a good author

Her Brother's Keeper (The Jane Barnaby Adventures Book 3), my third read from author J.J. DiBenedetto. Outstanding suspense fiction, with well-written with characters & a plot you can buy into with unexpected twists & turns. Cait Frizzell's narration adds to the enjoyment of the book. “I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Our heroine is going globetrotting this time

Her brother is in trouble, duped by an ex-russian spy and it is up to our heroine to clear his name and figure out what is going on.

This is the third book in the series but it stands just fine on its own. There are references to the previous stories, but nothing that gets in the way of this story.

I love this series and this book was no exception. The characters are well developed, with unique personalities and realistic reactions. Our heroine is tough, resourceful and smart, just the way I like them. And there is always a good bit of humor in addition to support.

The story itself is well written with a solid plot with more than a couple of twists and turns along the way to keep you guessing. The overall result is a fun read which should keep you entertained right up to the end. I hope to see more of our heroine in the future.

Highly recommended.
