About this listen

Her husband in a coma. Two missing teenage girls. Who can she trust?

Callie was living in a ten-acre home in the stunning Adirondacks with her husband. She missed her son, who was away at college, but she was coping pretty well with her empty nest.

Then, the nightmare began. Her husband Abel skidded off the road into an icy lake. His truck hit a tree and plunged into the frigid water below.

Now, this once-vital 43-year-old carpenter lies in a coma, surrounded by bleeping machines and the hushed rumble of the ward at Pearl Medical Center in Vermont.

The police say it was an accident, but the details remain murky. For some reason, he'd been an hour away from home, in a region where he had no clients that Callie was aware of.

Things are about to get worse.

Callie keeps getting calls from an unknown number. Finally, she picks up. 'Hello?' she asks. 'Excuse me, who's calling?'

A woman's voice: 'I know what happened to your husband.'

What comes next is even more shocking. Police tell Callie her husband is a person of interest in the disappearance of two teenage girls.

Can Callie clear his name? Does she even want to?

Her Husband's Lies is a twisty and utterly addictive psychological thriller that will keep you listening. You won't see the ending coming!

To much going on to keep track of.

Was not a fan. You saw it coming chapters before. I am done with this author.

Required huge suspension of disbelief

Her Husband's Lies had a promising plot and T J. Brearton is a capable writer but I had a difficult time staying invested in the characters and the storyline. There were many intstances, too many throughout the book that required disbelief.
My interest waned halfway through and I struggled to finish but finally did.

I was a little thrown off in parts, but overall, I really enjoyed this book. So many twists so pay attention. Excellent narration!
