About this listen

Every girl dreams of being the Alpha's mate, but for me it's a nightmare.

Being born a "blue moon shifter" means living my life underground and not being allowed to visit the surface world, not ever. Being an outcast in my pack, ridiculed and taunted daily, didn't make life any better.

I've dreamed of escape for years, but when Alpha Logan rejects me, I make a break for it. The only problem is, this sadistic Alpha wolf has made me his new chew toy and refuses to part with me.

I escape my pack with the help of three mysterious Alpha wolves from the surface world, but they trick me. Before I can enjoy my new freedom, they kidnap me, taking me to their lair.

These three sinfully handsome Alphas demand I use my powers to break a curse that's been plaguing their pack for decades. There's only one problem: I have no powers!

If I don't find a way to break their curse soon, they'll send me back to my pack - or worse, Alpha Logan will come for me himself.

Contains mature themes.

Enjoyed it

Good story. The romance and drama between characters was great, and the story is keeping me engaged. However, I didn’t like having one narrator perform both male and female characters. The voices of the male characters sounded forced.

Decent, but is the voice a prank?

Narrator sounds like Leila from Futurama and doesn't have enough inflection differences, so everything sounds both highly important and completely mundane at the same time. Weird combo. Plot is decent, but you can't give an accurate character description of height when the guy is sitting, so try working that in during scenes the guy isn't sitting on a unicorn or something else lol.

Interesting plot, immature characters

I really wanted to like this one. The setup to the story is perfect for an angsty love story and for a strong female lead. But it just fell flat for me. The FL is strangely immature-like pre-teen emotions, intelligence (lack there of) and dialogue. Where it speaks of all this bullying and torture of growing up a slave in the “hole,” she is oddly perky and shallow. Scenes where she’s supposed to be devastated emotionally or angry just come off as superficial. The sexy scenes are hot but incongruous with this characters level of emotional maturity.
The narrator was awful. I’m sorry to be so mean but she used a high pitched tone for all the dialogue which just made the characters seem even more immature than already written. I switched to the KU version when I could.
May try the next book if it’s on KU because the plot is good and I would like to see if 1) the character matures more 2) if someone frees the slaves! 3) hopefully there’s a deeper development of the emotions following the betrayal.

Good concept

While the storyline holds potential, the dialogue and narration fall flat, making immersion impossible. With a little refinement, this book could truly shine. A rewrite focusing on more realistic dialogue and a more engaging narrator would unlock its full potential.

Sounds like it was written by a 13-14 y/o

narrator is terrible. author clearly didn't approve or listen to the narrator. Constantly repeating what she just said. lots of immaturity in the book. Wolves acting like whiny infants. the girl is so gullible and ignorant it's not even funny. worst book I've ever listened to in my life.
