Rough-and-tumble Saturday Woodcutter thinks she's the only one of her sisters without any magic - until the day she accidentally conjures an ocean in the backyard. With her sword in tow, Saturday sets sail on a pirate ship, only to find herself kidnapped and whisked off to the Top of the World. Is Saturday powerful enough to kill the demon witch who holds her captive and save the world from destruction? And, as she wonders grumpily, “Did romance have to be part of the adventure?”
As in Enchanted, listeners will revel in the fragments of famous (and not-so-famous) folklore and fairy tales such as “The Master Maid,” “The Snow Queen,” and “Hansel & Gretel” that embellish this action-packed story of adventure and, yes, romance.

This, like the Harry Potter series is for a large range of ages. A knowledge of the standard fairy tales is somewhat necessary to get the point. Nowadays, not sure the kids are being told or reading them, but good stories on their own merit anyway.
Katherine Kellgren is, as usual, Absolutely Wonderful! Her ability to make all the character's individual voices brings it all to life.
Highly recommended listen!
Very Fun Listen, Great Story, Fabulous Narrator

The only down note? Katherine Kellgren, whom I normally enjoy (especially as the voice of The Royal Spyness series) was just OVERLY strident virtually the whole book. Sorry KK - you're one of my favorite female narrators - just maybe not so much on this book. Maybe we can pass some of that to the director though.
Anyway, swords, magic, dragons and the Woodcutters make for a fun read.
Being a Hero isn't based on what you do - but who you are.

A nice follow-up to Enchanted

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Lots of action, imaginative story line, strong female characters. I liked the look into a second of the Woodcutter sister's adventures. Quite different from the first book. The descriptions of the caves were really good. What do you think the narrator could have done better?
I liked the narrator better in Enchanted. Her accents sometimes run into the narration, but my main objection was that she was so caught up in the excitement of the tale that she spent a lot of time yelling. It was as if the author had ended most lines in the book with two or three exclamation marks. This would've worked better in a live performance than an audio book.Any additional comments?
In spite of the overly dramatic narration, I still enjoyed this book, and am looking forward to listening to the next in the series.Enjoyable second installment
