About this listen

When the dice are loaded, the claws come out.

Rudy and Thomas have landed in Sin City, but not on all four paws. The Talking Animal Union is determined to trip up the Freelance Familiars and entangle Thomas in a game where Death holds all the cards.

But Thomas can’t focus merely on saving himself. A vampire stalks the refugees of Grantsville, and to save his friends - and his own neck - Thomas has to put more than just himself on the line.

The odds are raw and bloody in Vegas....

Mage familiars decide to unionize. This is the story of how it happens. I recommend the whole trilogy. Now, if only my fellow Americans would do the same...

Fun fantasy series

So far, the Freelance Familiars series is a very enjoyable and fun series to listen to. I like how the worldbuilding has developed since book one. I'm also glad that the "urban fantasy" element of the story has transitioned from "magical society hiding in the mundane" in book one, to "magical story set in urban environments" as in this book. Potter is definitely growing as a writer and it shows.

Jonathan Waters provides good and consistent voice narration. I like all of his voices.

Looking forward to the audiobook for book 4!

I've been pleasantly surprised by this series and have been enjoying it immensely. I really hope the fourth and fifth (and beyond!) books get added to audible soon!

This series keeps getting better!
