Publisher's summary

Sir Tormand Murray is certainly a rogue, but a callous killer? Never. Yet he cannot explain how he came to wake up next to the butchered body of one of his former lovers. Someone is prepared to kill again and again until Tormand is found guilty and hanged. And his only hope of discovering the culprit lies with Morainn Ross, a reclusive, sensual beauty gifted with second sight. Branded a witch, Morainn has never met a man who accepted her strange talent, much less one who could so easily inflame her passion. There's no resisting Tormand's rugged masculinity - and no escaping the enemy, who grows more twisted every day. And even as logic decrees that a lasting union is impossible, Morainn knows that her destiny is bound forever with the knight who has claimed her, body and soul.

Witch, What witch?

Tormand & Morrainn
Tormand accused of multiple murders and Morrainn accused of witchcraft! Wow, like there is not a lot going on in this story! This is a sit on the edge of your seat suspense. Yes there is a live story, it is a Murray family series after all. Just really good how all this works together and good prevails over evil in the end!

Murder mystery from the start

The book definitely kept you guessing as to why various women were being killed it lead you one way to believe that the killer was the mail main character. What a reality it was someone I did not suspect. The main character mail did findA relationship with the main female character which did blossom into a love scene.I enjoyed the narrator. And eventually the girl gets the house of knowledge she wants including the man

Wallen, Thomas and BoneCrusher Steal the Show

Our hero is the son of Avery Murray McAlpin,book5, daughter of Nigel and Giselle and sister to Payton.
Loved Ms Dawe narration of Wallen, it will steal your heart. Her Scotts brogue is as good as ever in tell this tale. This one is way darker in the beginning than any other tale this author weaves, but it is also one of the most intriguing tale I must say.
This one rates a re listen hence my title.

Family

I really like this series. Each book brings family/friends forward in the stories. This book states in the beginning the Tormand in this book is the son of Eric & Bethea Murray (their daughter Avery also has a son Tormand … but he would still be quite young). And foster brother to James, who he helped in the previous book. Along with the “kings man”. Both great characters! Reading about subsequent generations, while keeping the previous alive & involved makes you feel like you know the characters. This book had suspense, mystery, romance, a bit of redemption, paranormal or “gifts” & love. Also animals & a child. A bit of a surprise ending. Good always winning over evil. Will certainly be re-reading at some point. Great narrator.

Highland Sinner

In this book of the Murray family series Tormand meets his match in Morainn. It seems that ladies that he bedded in the past are now falling victim to a vicious killer. And all signs are pointed to him. But not all is lost. Morainn tainted as the local witch can help clear his name. But at what cost? His reputation precedes him. The list of his lovers long. And the killer is getting away with killing those ladies. Morainn has visions and can help him and Simon corner the killer/s. But when the killer has Morainn in their sites. Can she live long enough to be saved by the sinner? I had read this years ago but enjoyed the suspense in this story. Listening to it was a good way to hear it again.

One of the best

I loved this one. However, I’m so darn sick of 12 chapters being set aside for “virtue” and another 20 for complaining about “sweet words or words of love” when the women is just as guilty.

Very good listen

I read this book before and now that I listened to it, I realized that it was just as good. I enjoyed it so much. Listened to it in one go. Can't wait to listen to the other books since I have been skipping and not going in sequence.

Simply Perfect Book!

I loved this book! From beginning to end I was captivated by the storyline. Ms. Howell brings these characters to life. I found myself rooting and near crying regularly. The level of detail in each event is told with vivid detail it is as though each page into a painting.
