Cute professional setting

Cute idea but if the reader has a background in healthcare. Some of the phrasing will cause them to cringe. The story was inclusive but the voice actor's tone came through as a mono tone dry read. A person would enjoy this story in kindle or hard print better. It was a good attempt with a adorable storyline. Mature professional adults maneuvering in real life, careers and social norms..

Story ok

The book isnt bad at all. But the person who read the book sounded like a junior high student made to read in front of the class. please read the book before you record for others to listen.

disappointing

A choppy narration made it difficult to finish and took away from the story.

Good book with a lot of faults

Despite having quite a few faults (terrible narrator, inconsistancies, typos, obnoxious title, tacky cover), this was a surprisingly sweet romance that scratched my itch for a story with a Black female doctor. The story is mostly about the fmc, Dr. Emilia King, getting together with Dr. Nate Carter to figure a way to help her ailing sister when the hospital is more in favor of the opportunity to help a high profile senator with the same diagnosis. I appreciate that the book doesn't hit me over the head with the fact that Emilia is a full figured woman since she has more pressing issues going on. I also loved how Nate admired, worked alongside, protected, and then grew to love Emilia. I was glad that I took a chance on this book and Im looking forward to see if the other books in this series have hidden gems. But this book can use a re-write to get rid of some glaring inconsistancies and holes. I also got the e-book to follow what was happening because the quality of the narration had removed all emotion that this book required.
