About this listen

His Share of Glory contains all the short science fiction written solely by C. M. Kornbluth. Many of the stories are SF "classics", such as "The Marching Morons", "The Little Black Bag", "Two Dooms", "The Mindworm", "Thirteen O'Clock", and, of course, "That Share of Glory". His Share of Glory includes all of Kornbluth's solo short science fiction, fifty-six works of short SF in all, with the original bibliographic details including pseudonymous by-line. The introduction is by noted SF writer and life-long friend and collaborator of C. M. Kornbluth - Frederik Pohl.

i couldn't finish

the narrator is flat.
it was very hard to distinguish some of the characters.
and the writing is so frustrating dated sometimes, i was skiping chunks of the stories

not recommended, even for classic sci-fi addicteds

I'd buy that for a dollar

I had no idea that Kornbluth's stories were available on Audible. These have been an amazing listen. Even the stories that are not well-known classics are still great. Kornbluth was brilliant in the details. His endings usually have a punch that sticks with you.

Steve Baker's narration is quite good too -- I took a little bit to warm to his slow, steady, delivery, but soon began to appreciate the little touches. I imagine that it's difficult to narrate such a diverse collection. He did a good job at it.

Fun stories. Rough narration

Narrator could have been reading a tax form making this a tough listen. A shame since the majority of the stories were pretty fun

Golden Age sci-fi

I enjoyed this extensive collection of golden age science fiction. Most of the stories were very good, although many were fantasy and some of the earlier stories were of the pulp era pay per word variety. Worth a credit if you like the science fiction written in the first half of the 20th century.
