About this listen

Over 140 thousand words, three novels in one.

It's their world, we're just living in it.

Staff Sergeant Henry Wells feels like he's seen it all. When he finds himself sitting on a month of leave after his latest deployment, the Green Beret spends it in the Montana badlands with his brother. He hasn't seen his paleontologist brother in years, but digging up old bones and cooking for grad students seems like a welcome break from the endless training and chaos of his last 10 years.

Little does he know six objects entered the solar system. Their target is Earth. Massive cylinders fill the sky. Landing ships race towards the ground, and one is heading towards Montana.

For millions of years ago, the rocky crags didn't exist. Shoreline ran as far as the eye could see. The Earth's original masters are returning, and they are troubled to see their Homeworld Occupied.

In this Omnibus you will get:

Sound was weird

Story was ok. Audio was just…. Off? Worth it but I would probably just stick to the actual book.

Potential but...

ok first note is the horrible narrator... I mean ive heard worse but it seemed like he was new to this. As for the writing, it started good and was drawing me in but fell apart at contact. Humans would freak the hell out way more then they did and I doubt it would have went down this way. It was a also written by someone who had a vague idea of the military and played a bunch of video games. I plan to look into the writer but that was my first impression. I served 11 years in the US Army and that soldier would not scout things out without his rifle let alone take a kid with him.

Not a good narrator

The narrator reminds me of playing Ace combat and listening to the mission briefs. He sadly has very little emotional range. There are parts where the humans should be scared or horrified and it sounds like they are just talking to an old friend instead. Story was pretty entertaining.

Action,War, Dinosaurs, Pop Culture Reference’s!

This book was very enjoyable. The story does jump around a little between locations but it is clear when the story changes because you are following multiple groups of characters. Overall I appreciated the pop culture reference’s made in the book and definitely got a chuckle out of me! I highly recommend. You have great character development and the story is packed full of action.
