About this listen

4 Volumes for a single offering!

Aliens ripped a hole above Earth, arriving with a massive space station. I sorta figured we'd be enslaved to fight in their wars or exterminated for our resources. Nope. The hip-high Iglax were merchants with ugly squished faces and thick blue fur. While they weren't much to look at, they sure did have some wonderous technology.

Humanity bent over backwards to appease our new merchant overlords. The boorish aliens wanted cheap labor for precious metals, and honestly, I didn't blame anyone for their hunger to be among the stars.

For certain rare metals or special gems, they'd trade tech we could only fathom as magic. Me, I pawned a few things, made some money, then hunkered down to study to prove my worth.

The aliens tested humans on an individual basis for miner rentals. Do well on your pilot test, get a spaceship, sign up with a corp, and you can mine the belt. For a puddle-jumper pilot like me, yeah, I was so interested I became obsessed. When I finally tested, I performed above and beyond, being offered a contract for some better than a miner - Earth's First Starfighter.

loved the plot and story development, minor criticism on female VO, biggest issue was during voice editing. some lines were omitted others mis-timed and in one occasion Male and female VO lines were edited on top of each other.

Any sci-fi fan will appreciate this series. There's enough twist and turns that is not classically predictable like so many others.
The characters are interesting. While they take a while to develop and the story does get off to a slow start in the first book the entire storyline builds and will draw your attention in. The voices of the narrators portray the characters very well and while it appears that the story does come to a conclusion after a book 4, I would be interested to see where they could take the storyline.

The series got off to a little bit of a slow start, but it was worth it.

Great series well told and narrated! All four books exceeded my expectations! Voices are good and I had issues putting down the phone I use to listen.

If you love SciFi, listen to this book/ series

The raw language was a great twist to many other Sci-Fi books. I have to admit I was a little taken aback at first but it complimented the story well.

Real Speak!

The story was very good. Narration was very good. There are a few editing issues. Not very many though. A few lines are repeated and one instance where two different lines between the two narrators overlap.

Great story some tech issues

This is fully worth the credit. The narrators were wonderful & it was enjoyable having 1 male & 1 female voice for the differing gender parts instead of a man trying to sound female & vise versa. Some words were pronounced oddly, but it wasn't anything to cry about. World building was fairly thought out. All the books were exciting.

Outstanding
