About this listen

When Sarah Berger’s nineteen-year-old son went to heaven in an inexplicable single-car accident, Sarah found herself plunged into soul-searing grief—the kind that can ruin marriages and destroy faith. But that is not her story.

With an unrelenting grip on the Lord’s hand, Sarah clung to the promise that God is close to the brokenhearted. Now, for the many others who grieve losing loved ones to accidents, illnesses, and even suicide, Sarah points them to the God of all comfort.

Hope in the Eleventh Hour helps listeners:

  • Understand what it means to grieve with hope.
  • Realize their loved one in Christ is truly part of the great cloud of witnesses.
  • Trust God with the hardest questions.
  • Receive God’s comfort through Scripture, dreams, nature, and divine encounters.
  • Find joy in the present as they wait for the eternal.

This intimate yet practical book opens listeners’ hearts and minds to embrace God’s promises in the midst of grief and brokenness.

Speaking God’s Love to Bereaved Parents

Sarah was truly obedient to speak the love of Christ through this book to comfort the heart of the grieving parent. We lost our baby at 29 weeks and delivered him sleeping 10 weeks ago… this book has been a major step in my grief journey of finding joy, hope, peace, and the love of God!

Life giving for grieving parents

Sarah’s story is so encouraging. If God could comfort her in such supernatural ways after her son went to Heaven, he can do the same for you if you keep your eyes on Him!

Tenderly written and read by the author, this book will be a help to all who are struggling through grief.

While listening to this book I had countless moments when tears rolled down my cheeks while simultaneously the lines of my lips were bent upward in an agreeing smile, knowing that these words are true.

Sara is my friend, so I knew I wanted her book to be read to me in her tender voice that I know so well. I could close my eyes and feel as though we were sitting next to one another as she unfolded her story and the lessons God taught her in her family’s eleventh hour.

I recommend this book with the most wholehearted and sincere endorsement. I believe that if the reader (or listener) takes Sara’s writing to heart, that the Lord will meet them in their grief and lead them to a place of peace that will give them a lifelong peace and anticipation for the glorious day when they will have the most beautiful of reunions with their loved one.
