Publisher's summary

The follow-up to the best-selling House of Dolls turns up the action and suspense and introduces new characters you'll have to hear to believe!

Roman Martin is a normal guy with an incredible superpower who has surrounded himself with an assortment of oddities, from killer animated dolls to deadly spies.

He still has the desire to do something good with his newfound power, but a reformed office worker with a dark past might not have what it takes to become a superhero, especially in Centralia, a privileged country where those with powers are separated from those without.

Even worse, Roman has to keep his superpower a secret, which is increasingly difficult after a bounty has been placed on his head, his workplace is attacked, and someone close to him has turned up missing.

With his past catching up to him, and his future murky at best, Roman heads to the Eastern Province alongside the Eastern spy known as Nadine, both of them looking into the disappearance of an entire class of people.

What Roman discovers could send shock waves through all of Centralia, if he makes it out alive.

Warning: House of Dolls 2 contains a harem, toxic cat girls, superpowers used in ways they weren’t intended to be used, cosplay, fantasy violence, necromancy, dark themes, and other trigger-worthy adult situations. It was inspired by Office Space, the anime High School DxD, Drew Hayes’ Super Powereds, and The Americans.

Contains mature themes.

Yes, it really is better than book 1

Harmon Cooper writes another story in the series that, while still a harem novel, it only touches lightly on that aspect. Mostly, it focuses on a story of intrigue, betrayal, compromises and a bit of some level of self-realization. They all combine to make the story captivating and entertaining.

Neil Hellegers performance brings out each significant character's personality and distinct role they play in the story.

this sequel was even better than the first which is a rarity in any story telling media, it seemed to just improve on the first, though I do warn you the cliff hangers will leave you purchasing the third asap

Keeps getting better

Another home run. Lots of action. Crazy ideas with loads of laughs and some steamy stuff that fits well into the story and doesn’t take from the over all experience. Can’t wait for the next one

Neat how everything flows together

It almost felt like there were too many different plots going on at once but it was all put together very well. Voice work was great and really does an amazing job. The character development is truly well done as well

Even more amazing awesomeness.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love the way Cooper portrays these characters. The mc seems to care more for his dolls then his own well being which is completely believable in the way he is written. I wonder how this will effect his next one and how this progresses in the future. Thank you for this story and u can't wait for the next one.

a good listen

The second book continues in the same trend as the previous one. Intrigues, action and 'action'. If you liked the first one this one will not disappoint. I did start to like the mc more.

still not sure what the actual plot is

this all seems like the MCs are bumbling along with no plans, rhyme or reason...

well written, but not for me
