About this listen

Sarah J. Maas's CRESCENT CITY series begins with House of Earth and Blood: the story of half-Fae and half-human Bryce Quinlan as she seeks revenge in a contemporary fantasy world of magic, danger, and searing romance.

Bryce Quinlan had the perfect life-working hard all day and partying all night-until a demon murdered her closest friends, leaving her bereft, wounded, and alone. When the accused is behind bars but the crimes start up again, Bryce finds herself at the heart of the investigation. She'll do whatever it takes to avenge their deaths.

Hunt Athalar is a notorious Fallen angel, now enslaved to the Archangels he once attempted to overthrow. His brutal skills and incredible strength have been set to one purpose-to assassinate his boss's enemies, no questions asked. But with a demon wreaking havoc in the city, he's offered an irresistible deal: help Bryce find the murderer, and his freedom will be within reach.

As Bryce and Hunt dig deep into Crescent City's underbelly, they discover a dark power that threatens everything and everyone they hold dear, and they find, in each other, a blazing passion-one that could set them both free, if they'd only let it.

With unforgettable characters, sizzling romance, and captivating suspense, this richly inventive new dramatized audiobook fantasy series by #1 New York Times bestselling author Sarah J. Maas delves into the heartache of loss, the price of freedom-and the power of love.

Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

I’m hooked on Dramatic Versions of audiobooks.

My parents listened to somethin similar in their youth (The Shadow on a dial in radio.) New technology has given us more options. I enjoy not getting lost by two narrators, or talent not able to do more than 2 different voices.
Legally blind, these provide more than entertainment. I’m able to discuss books w/friends.

It took a while to get into, but I was glad I stuck with it!

At first listen, I wasn’t sure I liked the voice actors in this book and the story/world building was a bit hard to follow at first, but I stuck with it and I’m so glad I did. By the end of the book, I was sobbing and cheering out loud for these characters. Absolutely loved it. Stick with it if you are struggling at the beginning!

the voice of bryce.....

I have to say that I love the story but I hated the voice of bryce in the beginning. when she talks one or 2 words her voice is annoying... when she speaks a whole sentence then its fine.

THE PLOT IS PLOTTING

Loved this !!!! the voices are great too!!! I haven’t had time to read the books of CC. So I had to opt for the audiobook and listen to it at work and let me just say at first I was very very very confused with the world building but you get used to it as the story goes on. Def a good listen 👏🏻

The beginning was really slow for me, but now I’m hooked.

I loved it, but am very upset that part 2 doesn’t come out tell April 29th! That is WAY too long between two parts of the same book. If I would’ve known I would have never started it and am very very annoyed.

Loved the story!

I was a little slow getting into the book at first. But graphic audio really helped me get into it.I loved it. I flew through this book. I am super disappointed. It is going to take so long for the second graphic audio portion to release. I didn't realize it was going to take so long or I would have waited.
