About this listen

Are you sick, but can't find any answers why? Do you have a seemingly unconnected collection of symptoms that leave doctors guessing? Or have you been diagnosed, but found that none of the treatments seems to make a difference? You may have Lyme disease and not even know it.

Known as "the great imitator", Lyme disease and its associated co-infections can mimic the symptoms of and often be misdiagnosed as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, multiple sclerosis, and even depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and psychosis.

In his landmark book, Why Can't I Get Better?: Solving the Mystery of Lyme & Chronic Disease, renowned internist and leading world expert Dr. Horowitz introduced his revolutionary plan for treating Lyme disease, and chronic diseases in general. Now, in this new handbook, How Can I Get Better?, Dr. Horowitz updates his research and offers a direct, actionable step-by-step plan for implementing his 16 MSIDS Diagnostic Map.

a must for all medical professionals

pure gold
this likely a much bigger problem than statistics report, and "lyme literate" docs are few and far between.
I wish he spent more time talking about mycotoxins

Hallelujah!

It took a lot longer to finish this audiobook compared with most of the science fiction material I enjoy. The content is enlightening, disturbing, and dense, with relatable advice and explanations. It's a priceless guide for anyone suffering from tick vector illnesses, with tremendous insight regarding alternatives to "business as usual" medical practice in America. After years of searching for professional medical help in all the wrong places, I finally learned specifically what type of practice to look for. I live in Atlanta, and I saw no less than 10 different medical professionals over the past 18 months. After reading just 25% of this book, I had appointments with the right people and my illness is currently being treated effectively. Each and every chapter in my progression toward finishing the book helped me to better understand the multiple medical tests required, the challenges in obtaining clear diagnoses and the language of treatment protocol.
