About this listen

We all fail. We all fall. We all need to know how to get back up. Few know this better than New York Times best-selling author Neil Pasricha. Before selling over a million copies of his Book of Awesome series and touring the world to teach Fortune 500 CEOs, Ivy league deans, and members of the royal family how to unlock a positive mind-set, Pasricha’s life hit rock bottom. In this Audible Original, you'll hear for the first time Neil's very personal story of failure and resilience - and you'll learn how you, too, can find the strength to get back up.

Go Behind the Scenes with Neil Pasricha

The problem with the self-help industry, Neil explains, is that "we aren't sharing the grey stories—the stories in between the lines of the big, high-milestone moments that are on the cover of every greeting card."

It’s his story, nothing new here.

If you are looking for a Tony Robbins style, informative instructional technique, you won’t find it here. This is the story of one man’s journey and career with little tid bits of advice, but nothing that any ordinary person couldn’t have written. But, maybe that is the point? After hours of listening, the only thing I can take away from this is that you have to continue to do what you do regardless of failures because success at anything takes much longer than you want it to.

Great storyteller, my life story is better

I’m sorry, but I got this audiobook looking for inspiration, as the book is about failure and resilience. He talks a lot. I realize I could make money, too, taking a lot about my life. I’ve had more trauma and world adventures, frankly. Not inspiring. But maybe it would work for some people.

Picked me right up!

Thank you Neil Pasricha for writing this book. Listening to your dad at the end made me cry A thinking of my own dear father. The ideas shared in the book were helpful. The autobiographical moments were at times funny, and at times heartbreaking. Well worth the listen. Admittedly, it took just a little bit to get into the book, it’s always a challenge to listen to a new audio book. Having seen the Ted talk and listening to the podcast, it helped to know that this audio version would ultimately grow on me.

My first non-professional book for the past 20 yrs

An honest memoir. Sound observations from a person raised by great parents. My challenging life is a bit better after listening this story. Thank you Neil
