Water and Tristan are Fascinating.

I’m hooked in Tristan’s writing. I’ll be reading everything he writes. There’s more here than learning about water. The book opens many portals in the natural world. Coastlines, Stars and river banks all mean something.

Dripping with knowledge

Thoroughly impressed with how much information is shared about water. Mr Gooley thoughts must be like Cumberbatch’s Sherlock with tons of info bubbles deciphering seemingly impossible clues. The physical book may be handier if it has illustrations.

A fascinating and educational book

For a mariner, this book delivers so much more than I ever expected. The detailed descriptions of water, the environments, animals, types, colors and new vocabulary gave me a new outlook and understanding of the complexities of water that I never knew existed.

So much great knowledge

This book is a knowledge base of its own. There is an entire world of water and it has its own ways. This book introduces you to it.

Wish I read this earlier in life

As a fisherman, that’s been on my water all my life, this book opened up a whole New World. It’s amazing all the little important details you can miss if you don’t know what you’re looking at. Do you spell could be fascinating to someone who doesn’t spend much time on the water, but even more, so, even necessary, for those who do. Bravo!

The knowledge of the author

Exhausting discussion on water, wind and weather, what it looks like and what it means.
Ok for non sailors but has lots of technical details

Reasonably Interesting, Perhaps Better in Print

This book had a lot of how-to's which might be better suited for print. The practical information and sea stories were definitely interesting, but I'm not sure if the audiobook provided the best value. Otherwise, it was kind of fun to listen to an American voice actor pronounce a slew of bespoke British towns and geographies.
