About this listen

With more than 25 million copies of her books in print, Amanda Quick is one of today’s most popular authors of Regency-era romances. Her 23 New York Times best-selling novels are delightful combinations of fascinating characters, clever conversations, and fleet-footed suspense.

Emma Greyson is grateful for her position as lady’s companion. The salary is generous, and Lady Mayfield is kind. But when Emma meets the darkly handsome Edison Stokes, a guest at her employer’s estate, the flame-haired beauty is lured into his dangerous quest for an ancient book of potions. Can she help him find it before its magical powers are used for evil purposes? From passionate moments to midnight ambushes, Amanda Quick keeps I Thee Wed moving at a delicious clip. Narrator Barbara Rosenblat brings to life not only the intrepid heroes, but also the opulent society that serves as a backdrop for their growing attraction.

I just love books by Amanda Quick; love, mystery and murder. The hero and heroine are extremely funny. And I especially like it being read by Barbra Rosenblatt and Anne Flosnik.

I love this book. Don’t get tired of listening to it over and over.

Biggest problem with Narration was her constant LOUD SWALLOWING THRU OUT THE WHOLE BOOK!!!!

ANNOYING AS HELL!!!!
TIRED OF BARABARA ROSEN... SWALLOWING NOISES!!!
VOICES OK, BUT COME ON THIS IS THE ONLY NARRATOR THAT MAKES SWALLOWING NOISES DURING NARRATION!!! SO DARN LOUD!
VERY DISTRACTING!!!

STORY WAS THE USUAL SUSPENSE, INVESTIGATION, TWISTS AND TURNS, ROMANCE SUSPENSE DURING THIS ERA FOR AMANDA QUICK!! GOOD TALE!!

PLEASE GET NEW NARRATOR!!!

Story 4 stars Narration 2 stars!!!!

Same type of heroine she often has but fun mystery. Not quite enough steam but made sense given the characters. Very enjoyable listen. Liked both characters and Heroine is not stupid or confused, which I much prefer. Hero is not violent arrogant rake either. Terrific overall

I love Amanda quick

Would you consider the audio edition of I Thee Wed to be better than the print version?

No. There is too much background noise. It's not the narrator because the sounds are there in the background while she is talking. It's like the man coughing through Mistress. It's like they thought since these were older they wouldn't take the same care editing as the newer ones.

Bad audio editing

best narrator ever. I will listen to more books that she narrates...just to listen to her. Story is fun, too.
