Raw Truth, No "Plastic" Christians Here

Linda Nichols is one of my favorite authors, and this audio book is no exception. It begins with a young couple living together, unmarried and raising their young son together. When the father of the boy is unable to make a commitment to marry his mother, she makes a difficult, but right decision to leave. What happens after that is a wonderful story, spanning years . . . and not at all what you might expect . . . the characters are human, warts and all, not the "pretty people" you see in church on Sunday, dressed to the nines . . . but real, doubting people . . . sinful people . . . the ones that Jesus encountered and loved . . . the woman at the well . . . the ones who weren't self righteous . . . Don't miss this story . . .

wonderful christian book

loved the family that was created by all different folks from different backgrounds to create a loving family who all accepted each other, supported each other despite their veried backgrounds, showing ttere are different types of families besides the family you are born into.....best part was the ending though..and you will just have to listen to, for that...but I believe you will like it!!!

If I Gained The World

Great listen, interesting characters, entertaining. Wonderful message. God's idea of treasure and the "worldly" idea of treasure are so different. It reminds me of a saying; there is no better time to count our blessings than when we are tempted to believe we have none. Jennifer

Deserving of 10 stars!!!

If I could, I would give this book 10 stars. I have to say this is one of the most well-written books I have ever "read". This is the first book I've "read" by Linda Nichols, but it won't be the last. I love the longer audio books and can usually make them last quite a while. Not so with this book. I listened to it every chance I could. More than 16 hours and it didn't take me long to finish it. This will be one I listen to again! If you get this book, you won't be disappointed.

Heartwarming and Redeeming

Loved the characters. Good Christian based story of living faith and the power of God's love to heal the deepest wounds and make one able to love God's way
