About this listen

Dear Archnemesis.... Won't You Be Mine?

Ordinary office worker Ohashi Rei wakes up in the body of the protagonist of her favorite otome game, Revolution. To her delight, the first person to greet her is also her favorite character, Claire Francois—the main antagonist of the story! Now, Rei is determined to romance Claire, instead of the game's male leads. But how will her villainous ladylove react to this new courtship?!

At first I was a bit disappointed that the story wasn't being narrated by one of of the voice actors that play Claire or Rae in the anime dub. But that disappointment quickly became delight after listening for a few minutes. The narrator does an excellent job voicing not only Claire And Rea, but all of the characters. The characters personalities shine so much because of this. The voices she does for Lene and Misha fit very well. I feel like the range of voices for male characters isn't as large, but the narrator still does an excellent job with them too.

Three story is great. I can't wait to listen to the next volume!

Amazing! The narrator does an excellent job voicing the characters!

This volume is almost all set up with barely any character development or real plot progression. Very much a setup book for the rest of the series

i like how this was written. i like the characters, and the progression. i love how the cheesey Male princess never had a chance. They got kicked to the side without hesitation.

I’m in Love with the Villainess vol. 1 tells its story well, by the standards of light novels. A lot of the usual hang-ups are hear—repetitive narration in places, meandering dialog, and a weird sense of pacing—but it does enough to distinguish itself from the norm. If nothing else, it has a refreshingly open discussion of queerness that I found surprising from a Japanese series. If you’re looking for a light-hearted yuri novel you could do far worse than this one.

P.S. the anime adaptation covers this material in its first eight episodes or so.

A fun light novel that feels different than most

Courtney Shaw's performance bring life into life Inorii's sensei characters. Worthwhile experience even for people that have read the book.

Incredible story and perfomance

As a person who had already read and love the series, the audiobook was a welcome surprise. Overall I enjoy the audiobook since the story is still as good as always. The narrator was decent at her job but did not elivate the experience, and a male narrator would be greatly be appreciated for the male character.

For fan of the series, is a solid audiobook adapdation

A convenient way to enjoy the story again
