Imposter Messiah is a delight - listen to this now

This is my favorite listen for 2019, so far. It is only May, but I really enjoyed this book.

I don't want to spoil anything for you so I am having a hard time writing a review.

Honestly if you have made it this far to read my little review I can just tell you to give it a listen, you won't be let down.

We all know that a narrator can make or break a book, well I am happy to say that the narration is spot on and really adds to the experience.i

Fantastic!

This is not my usual type of book, but it was a fantastic read!
A lovely twist on both scifi and history in one sitting.
Only thing i can note on was that the sway from comedy to action
could have been smoother but a part from that its a full score!

ONLY Protects the Time Line, Then Jesus Gets eaten

A Fun hilarious adventure weaving in and out of time as we follow ONLY as they attempt to protect the timeline when Jesus gets eaten by a Tiger, Josh has to step up and play the role of a lifetime all while fighting off another group of timeline protectors, that formed when the timeline was weakened. I could not put it down and had to keep listening to find out what happens next. Amazing first work for the Author that when combined with the Excellent narration brings you into this world. This Narrator has quickly become one of those narrators that you buy a book just because you know the narration will be perfect

Best praise; I listened twice

I listened to this book twice back to back. Why? Everything about this tale of time travel is done right. I laughed out load, listened with intent and thought about my preconceived biblical notions (but not too long). The genre is sci-fi and the tale historical. Very satisfying mix done with wit and believable character interplay that leads the plot nicely to the end of the story. You won’t need to listen twice to enjoy the read. Davis and Clark can time travel with this cast of characters again and this listener thinks they should.

A Fun Time

A great look at history and a great addition to the genre "a fun look at the minutae of the fantastic"

enjoyable story and performance

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Now! With that out of the way, I'm glad I had the chance to listen to this book. TJ Clark provides a great narration and M W Davis a fun and quite funny ride through time. At first, I was pretty worried this book would fall into the same trap most scifi stories fall into when bringing religion into the mix. Such a thing is a common pitfall seen in lots of scifi (heck, even the more recent BSG fell into this). That said, this story was thoroughly enjoyable partly because it doesn't take itself too seriously and definitely doesn't fall into the trap mentioned above (I mean come on, Zombie Jesus? ha!). I honestly kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and the author to start beating me over the head with religion.. I'm glad I was left disappointed, quite a refreshing experience. As for the time travel, it is certainly a unique idea and the references to other works really had me nerding out and enjoying this story even more than I thought possible. Thank you M W Davis and TJ Clark for a fun romp through time, I'll be sure to look for more of your work in the future.

worth it

I found this book to be a fun, easy listen with great narration. It's an interesting concept, and I'd say irreverent, but not disrespectful (I'm not Christian, so others might feel differently).
