A wealthy parent does not mean a good parent...

This is book three in the Ivy Nash series. This is another fast fun mystery thriller. I would suggest listening to the first two books in the series before this one for background and continuity.
This book deviates from the continuing story of Ivy's stalker. It involves a very wealthy man who has gotten custody of his four year old daughter after his ex wife tried to sell her for drugs. At the same time he is being charged with beating and raping a teenage girl. Ivy is the one who found the daughter before she could be sold and the father hires her to care for her until his parents can come out. Meanwhile, when things don't add up in her mind Ivy begins her own investigation and of course all is not as it was represented to her.
While all of this is going on Christina tries to reconnect with her mother. They set up a meeting using text messaging but when she arrives it's her mother's live in who had abused her that shows up. Once again he attempts to rape her but but fails when she fights back and pounds his face with a rock. He's later found dead and Christina is charged with a crime she didn't commit.
I'm really enjoying all of these books. They are all very well written, easy reading, the characters are fleshed out and the stories are all fast and fun. At approximately 7 1/2 hours per book I've blown through four in the series in three days and I'm sorry to say I only have two left.
Julia Farmer does an excellent job narrating.
This entire series is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

4 year old Emma is back from Book 2!

The novels in the Ivy Nash series are standalone, but due to recurring characters and themes should be read in order written. In Book 2 Emma's mother tried to sell her for drugs and Ivy and Christina saved the little girl. Much of IN Doubt is about Emma's dad. He is wealthy and cares a lot for his daughter. Are appearances too good to be true?

The antagonist in this novel is as self-centered and evil as one can imagine. The Ivy Nash series is must listen. Julia Farmer's narration is excellent.
