Publisher's summary

"With action-packed twists and turns and a pace that doesn't let up until the thrilling conclusion, Her Last Day is a brilliant start to a gripping new series from T.R. Ragan." - Robert Bryndza, number-one international best-selling author of The Girl in the Ice

Ten years ago, PI Jessie Cole and reporter Ben Morrison each suffered a tragedy that changed their lives - and now these two strangers are about to share a nightmare.

For Jessie, who makes her living finding missing persons, no case has consumed her more than the disappearance of her younger sister, Sophie. But left alone to raise Sophie's daughter, she realizes that solving the case has become an unhealthy obsession.

For Ben, a horrific car accident resulted in scars both physical and emotional - and amnesia that has made his life a mystery. But curiously, out of his shattered memories, there's one person he recognizes without a doubt: Jessie's sister. He just doesn't know why. Yet.

But Sophie isn't the only phantom drawing Jessie and Ben together. An elusive serial murderer known as the Heartless Killer has reemerged from the shadows. His next move will cut even deeper into Jessie's worst fears. And for Ben, what happens this time is going to be unforgettable.

The...Narration...Was...Poor

Too many times I found myself thinking about how poorly the novel was being narrated rather than concentrating on the story. Throughout the entire novel, Kate Rudd sounds like a sixth grader reading straight from a book never reviewed due to the slightest of pauses in between words. Her versions of male voices sound more like nasal congested females than any male voice I've heard other female narrators emulate.

Worst narrator ever

It sounded like Siri (robot) was reading it. The story was ok but the narrator ruined it for me

Anticlimactic

It was written and set up to have big climatic moments that never came so much more could have been but it sounded like the author kind of gave up in the end

Good read

Ragan never fails me. Psychological thrill that will keep you up at night to find answers. Just. when you think you figured it out, not yet.

Narrator can make it or break it ...

This narrator just didn't work for me. There were times I thought I was listening to a digital assistant read back text . Story is good though!

Pretty good story but weird narration

narration has an odd almost computerized tone with word inflections in the wrong places. Getting past that was difficult but the overall story was pretty good

Probably the worst narration I have ever heard

I have listened to hundreds of audible books and this has to be the worst narration. I contemplated multiple times stopping and returning the book because the narration was so bad. The book was good but it was very distracting trying to keep up with the storyline while being so annoyed by the reader.
