About this listen

Stephen R. Lawhead, the critically-acclaimed author of the Pendragon Cycle, continues his Eirlandia Celtic fantasy series with In the Land of the Everliving.

Conor and his sword companions must leave the safety of the faéry kingdom for the barbarian Scálda threaten to overrun Eirlandia. As he fights for his people’s survival, Conor discovers that several of the clan leaders have betrayed their nation by aiding the Scálda. The corruption is such that Conor and his men choose to become outcasts, clan-less and open to attack by friend and foe alike.

They form their own warband...and the beginning of a legend as Conor unites the common people of Eirlandia to drive the poison from their land.

Lawhead is my favorite

Lawhead has long been my favorite fantasy author, being able to listen to the stories is even more fulfilling, and John Lee gives life to each Character with his accent and care for intonation.

Thank you for another great story of inspiration and courage.

Lawhead at top of his game

This is my new favorite of Lawhead’s writing. have read every novel that Lawhead has written. Truthfully, I had decided that I was ready to move on and not bother with his next work. I am glad I changed my mind. I especially appreciated the insight into the destructive insanity of jealousy he showed in describing Liam the brother. Of course Conner’s nobility is an inspiring if very idealistic portrait of a leadership.

Lawhead always delivers a most noble tale

Reminds me of Llew silverhand. Not unlike Albion. Erlandia is the realm and it's underdog is named Conor and his face is marked in crimson by Danu. Although blemished he must be the outcast turned high king that this realm needs to chase the dirty dog eating scalda back into the sea from whence they came!

Fantastic listen, better than book 1.

More like Lawhead's older books. Similar to Patrick. Highly recommend this to fans of Jeff Wheeler.

Typical Stephen Lawhead--Fabulous in every way!

This is a feast for the Irish-Lover. Rich in prose and magical in his ability to make a world come alive, Lawhead creates a world vivid with meaning, character, humor, and heartbreak. The narrator finishes this off with full, lusty brogue through the entire narration. Beautifully done! (Will there be a third?! I hope so!!)
