About this listen
Reed Treston is a man without purpose. His war is over, his friends have left, and now he runs a lonely watch with his sister, policing people with powers beyond those of normal humans. When the government intercepts a message that has links to his past, Reed finds himself stirred into action. His path leads him across continents and through countless lies, to a city he has not seen in years - Rome, Italy - and a confrontation with a threat that could destroy a nation.

Love the "In the Box" series but not this one!
Too much inner dialogue that just was boring or didnt really help the story! Only finished it because I wanted to understand the Italy disaster that is mentioned in the series! Was not worth the money!

Good action
In the girl in the Box Series Reed was a very strong character to have him portrayed as slightly whimpy in this one was kind of daunting . Also having a male narrator he was good but he made Sianna sound like a silly little twit I was used to a strong character for Sianna.

Poor narration overshadowed the book content.
I have enjoyed this entire series. Until now. Worst part was narration. This male narrator made Sienna sound like sound like a dull witted cartoon character. Most of the book was an almost constant solo diatribe from the Reed character. It made the story terribly boring and I couldn't wait for it to end. Almost abandoned the book several times. I didn't only because of the link to following books in the series. If this narrator is used in the remaining series, I'll stop reading and move on to something else.
All of the previous books in this series were great, with seamless narration. Hoping you won't use this narrator again!
