About this listen
Hey guys! It's me, A.K. Blakely, back with the second edition to incredible animal facts! If you bought the last book, welcome back and thank you for your support. If you are new to the series, welcome aboard! We are so happy to have you join us in our journey of learning about the animal kingdom! In the first book, we looked at the animals that we as humans keep as pets. In this edition, we are going to step into the wild and look at reptiles! I have always been fascinated by reptiles, and I've had quite a few as pets over my lifetime, so I wanted to learn more and pass it along to my listeners. In this book, we will discuss the four major groups that make up the reptilia class of animals. These groups are:
- lizards
- snakes
- crocodiles
- turtles and tortoises
All four of these groups have their own unique characteristics, some of which will blow your mind! Some of the facts I uncovered are truly amazing! Who would have ever thought that there is a lizard that can run on water, a snake that can fly, a crocodile that weighed over a ton at 2,374 lbs., and that a tortoise can live to be 250 years old! Not me! Well, not until I started writing this book.
So, if you are viewing this on Amazon and thinking about purchasing the book, hit the "Buy" button, and I promise you that you will not be disappointed. There will also be a free accompanying PDF with color pictures that will come with the audio version so you can follow along.
Now that we got that out of the way, let's get to the important stuff. Learning all about reptiles! Grab some popcorn or your pet, and let's get started on Incredible animal facts! Reptile edition.
PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

Eleven-year-old Alex Petroski loves space and rockets, his mom, his brother, and his dog, Carl Sagan - named for his hero, the real-life astronomer. All he wants is to launch his golden iPod into space the way Carl Sagan (the man, not the dog) launched his Golden Record on the Voyager spacecraft in 1977. From Colorado to New Mexico, Las Vegas to LA, Alex records a journey on his iPod to show other lifeforms what life on Earth, his Earth, is like.

Some people insist that culture is strictly a human feat. What are they afraid of? This book looks into three cultures of other-than-human beings in some of Earth's remaining wild places. It shows how if you're a sperm whale, a scarlet macaw, or a chimpanzee, you too experience your life with the understanding that you are an individual in a particular community. You too are who you are not by genes alone; your culture is a second form of inheritance. And your culture, too, changes and evolves.

Story
The world's largest land mammal could help us end cancer. The fastest bird is showing us how to solve a century-old engineering mystery. The oldest tree is giving us insights into climate change. The loudest whale is offering clues about the impact of solar storms. For a long time, scientists ignored superlative life forms as outliers. Increasingly, though, researchers are coming to see great value in studying plants and animals that exist on the outermost edges of the bell curve.

Misconceptions, misunderstandings, and flawed facts finally get the heave-ho in this humorous, downright humiliating book of reeducation based on the phenomenal British best seller. Challenging what most of us assume to be verifiable truths in areas like history, literature, science, nature, and more, The Book of General Ignorance is a witty “gotcha” compendium of how little we actually know about anything. It’ll have you scratching your head wondering why we even bother to go to school.

Story
For millennia, lions, tigers, and their man-eating kin have kept our dark, scary forests dark and scary, and their predatory majesty has been the stuff of folklore. But by the year 2150 big predators may only exist on the other side of glass barriers and chain-link fences. Their gradual disappearance is changing the very nature of our existence. We no longer occupy an intermediate position on the food chain; instead we survey it invulnerably from above - so far above that we are in danger of forgetting that we even belong to an ecosystem.

A great book to learn about various reptiles!
I have three snakes, so I love reptiles. My grandson, who's 7 yrs old, loved the part about turtles and how long they can hold their breath underwater, and the whole section on different types of snakes my grandson had me google to see what each snake looked like. This book is in a series, so it's great to learn about each species separately, so more time is devoted. The narrator's voice is engaging, the content is very knowledgable and very well put together. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about reptiles, from lizards and snakes to turtles. I will be checking out the other books, and with the holidays coming up, it would be a nice gift for someone.

Perfect for road trips!
Bought this for our kids as we were taking a road trip, and our son has developed a recent obsession with reptiles. Incredible Animal Facts Reptile Edition includes some of the coolest, and most interesting facts about reptiles we've heard yet, many of which I was unfamiliar with as well. The fats are well delivered/structured for the entire family, and are easy to understand for kids of all ages.
The narrator was engaging, and enjoyable to listen to. Would recommend to anyone with kids who are interested in the animal kingdom, or reptiles more specifically!

Fun for kids and for grown-ups.
This book, and the author's previous one as well, really appeal to the 10-year old in me, and the grown man as well. Interest in all the weird animals on the planet is something we all share. And this book fires interesting tidbit after interesting tidbit at you. It's really fun to listen to. And, I learned quite a few new things as well. Great narration as well. Recommend!!

Informative and Fun for People of All Ages
I've always been a dog guy, so it was great to learn so much about other animals as pets. The book has some cool facts about two dozen reptiles, including the Rock Agama, the Black Mamba, and the Komodo Dragon. Whether you are interested in any of these animals as pets, or just want to learn and test your knowledge about them, I highly recommend this book.

Very Interesting Facts About Reptiles
I learned a lot of interesting things about reptiles in this short and concise audiobook. Had no idea or even considered that reptiles might have personalities, were as smart as they are, care for their young or even that geckos didn’t cast a shadow. Very cool and worth the listen!

Engaging and Entertaining
This is the second book of the series and this time it's all about reptiles!
The book is well researched and well written, including information about lizards, snakes, crocodiles, and tortuous.
My favorite part of the book was the chapter on various really weird lizards like the Tokay Gecko, Marine Iguana, Armadillo Lizard, Rock Agama, Komodo Dragon, Thorny Dragon, and even a spooky lizard with a name of a Monster! Did you know that there is a flying gecko?
The book is really cool and my boys enjoyed it greatly in the back of the car.
The narrator has a nice voice, making it really easy to listen to.
