About this listen

When a murder disrupts the Irish vacation she is taking with her husband, Roarke, Eve realizes that no place is safe - not an Irish wood or the streets of the manic city she calls home. But nothing prepares her for what she discovers upon her return to the cop shop in New York City....

A driver for a top-of-the-line limousine service is found dead - shot through the neck with a crossbow. The car was booked by an executive at a venerable security company whose identity had been stolen. Days later, a stunning, high-priced escort is found killed at Coney Island, a bayonet stuck in her heart. And again, the trail leads to a CEO whose information has been hijacked.

With a method established, but no motive to be found, Eve begins to fear that she has come across that most dangerous of criminals, a thrill killer, but one with a taste for the finer things in life - and death. Eve does not know where or when the next kill will be, or that her investigation will take her to the rarefied circle that Roarke travels in - and into the perverted heart of madness....

I have enjoyed the Death Series. Was a pleasant surprise that this book opened up in Ireland with Dallas and Roarke on vacation. Susan Ericksen is great. She is Dallis! I had a feeling this story was familiar and wished more of the other characters of the other books were present in the story. Looking forward to the next book.

Since I've been reading J.D. Robb's death series I have never been disappointed. Her characters are like friends. And it is wonderful to be invested in the books. Clearly the author has fun with the plots. Always unique and refreshing. Thank you for all the wonderful reads.

this Nora Roberts/Jd Robb story is a great police procedural with the fun of "knowing" the detectives. The bad guys get what they deserve!

What did you love best about Indulgence in Death?

The love, support, and respect Roark and Eve have for each other and their professions.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I did not know how Eve was going to be able to bring the criminals to justice.

Which scene was your favorite?

The Conference Room. Eve was briefed her Team on the evidence that she and Peabody had collected.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book made me laugh. Eve just cannot seem to get the expressions correct. I love her relationship with her friends.

Any additional comments?

Eve learns what it means to be a friend. She analyzes her relationship with each of her friends and compares their relationship with this case. Eve finds that her friends love and respect her and value their relationship.

Another great listen by J.D. Robb. If you like this series you will like this one as well. Has a few new twists, not just more of the same. A good choice.

Entertaining

Another great start to the book. Having Eve and Rourke being on vacation and in Ireland was terrific. Have some of their personal time is great.

Loved the beginning

What I don't like about this series is it is so addictive! This book was good except it started slow. It picked up about a quarter of the way through and turned out to be really good. But for the books that are not as good, I still want to listen because of the character development. Each book has its own story, but each one builds on the characters so now I have a vested interest. I highly recommend.

Addicting
