Chapter One

What happens when you don’t know what comes next?

Jacob Wild has had a lucrative writing career, but somewhere along the way he misplaced his muse. Now, unable to put anything on paper, he’s resorted to hanging out in the neighborhood coffee shop with a pen and paper, trying to find something to spark his creativity again.

That’s when he meets her. Presley Abrams. The coral-haired, tattooed beauty with the piercing gray eyes and sweet smile draws his attention in a way no woman before her ever has. Jake soon learns that when he’s around her his world is set to rights once more. Presley sparks something inside him and not just his ability to put words on paper.

But, Presley’s not the easiest woman to get close to and Jake finds himself trying to answer the burning question: Does happily ever after only exist in fiction?

A book in a book!

This is a fun read! A book inside of a book! Nicole Edwards cleverly has written the story of author, Jake and tattoo artist, Presley. They each are having a dry spell in the creativity of their careers, and when they hookup, the juices begin to flow. But is that enough to keep the relationship going? Jake is a great character, mainly because he isn’t the most secure but when he gets his mojo, we get his book excerpts of Cora and Donovan. Their story is as intriguing as Jake and Presley! Each keeps the story moving, with passion, a unique story of their sun and high passion. Along with secondary characters both making you cringe and making you smile, it’s a boon well worth the listen!

Tor Thom and Charley Ongel bring both stories to life with their wonderful narration. This team never ceases to amaze me with their talent. Great voices, amazing chemistry and a way that brings warmth and fun to the story, these two will keep those earbuds in til the very end.

Inked on Paper is a thing of beauty.

Inked on Paper is a thing of beauty. Jacob and Presley are two lost hearts looking for a way to be whole. Edwards entrances a style that is almost musical, while Thom and Ongel turn her lyrical words into a message of the heart. The melody that drives this love song will continue to haunt beyond the last page.

Sweet and Sexy

I really loved the premise of this book; a writer writing a romance while living one of his own. I also enjoyed getting to hear "his story" at the end.
Great performances by Tor Thom and Charley Ongel.

Chapter One....The End

I loved that we got 2 books in one really. The inside of Jacob’s job is interesting and I am sure a lot of it is true. I really liked that he was the author of romance and she was the tattoo artist.

The story of them is sweet and sexy but a little predictable. And that is ok because it was enjoyable to listen to.
Presley, I found to be pretty insecure in herself but so confident in other things and it was interesting because she doesn’t seem like the type to be insecure it was relatable and I wasn’t expecting that at all.

Jacob and his love for his family really struck a chord with me I loved the relationship he has with his niece and it’s a special one. It made it all the more special because his niece could open up to him and he didn’t judge her.

The narration was good, I like Tor more than Charley only because I feel like when she talks she is dramatic with every sentence. You get used to it but it can take you out of the story sometimes. Tor was the perfect Jacob his voice is just that touch of gruff that I like to hear for the male leads.

A Story Within a Story

While this was not my favorite Nicole Edwards book, it was an enjoyable listen. The characters were fun and the plot was interesting. Tor Thom and Charley Ongel did a great job bringing this book to life with their duet narration. I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

A story within a story!

Inked on Paper is a complex romance. Jake is a writer who has hit writer's block. Presley is his neighbor who attracts Jake's attention. As Presley and Jake grow their relationship, Jake's creativity returns. Jake writes a steamy and intense romance. But I like how the two relationships grow in a similar way. Having two romances to follow, makes this book a 2 for 1. I think I enjoyed Cora and Donovan's excerpts better at times. But once Jake and Presley heat up their relationship, the book takes off. We get to read all about Cora and Donovan at the end of Jake and Presley's story.

Tor Thom and Charley Ongel narrate this complex story. Their natural chemistry makes both couples even hotter. Mr. Thom and Ms. Ongel make following this complex story fun and easy. Their narration bring all the characters to life and the story more enjoyable.

Unusual and unique

This was such an unusual story, a story within a story that had me intrigued as soon as I read the blurb.

This was an exciting book to read and I was fully invested from the first to the last chapter.

Jacob Wild is a writer suffering from writer’s block. With no end in sight he hangs out at a local cafe in the hopes that his creative juices will be lock started.

Presley Abrams, a tattooed tattoo artist is the woman who catches his eye. Thanks to a cheating ex Presley too is suffering from the same. With a deadline looming she is concerned that she won’t have an entry ready for an art contest.

The slow build in their relationship only adds to the enjoyment. Their scenes together were scorching, if only their level of communication out of the bedroom was just as good.

Watching Jacob and Presley inspire each other was heart warming.

The narration was great and enhanced my enjoyment of this story.

Loved it.

For and Charlie did an amazing job with this wonderful story. Jake has a wonderful job as a best seller author but due to a family emergency moves back to Austin. A chance meeting with Presley at a Cafe gives him his muse and as time goes on Both these artists are brought to there best and finally complete the book and give Presley back her mojo for drawing. Really enjoyed it
