About this listen

Nineteen years ago, Evander Laun and Natalia Havashire went on the air throughout the world on almost every news channel simultaneously to reveal to the human race that elves walked among us. It is the most-watched historical event in modern times.

An aspiring investigative journalist, Killishia Renner, finds out with the rest of the world that she is an elf when she manifests elvish physical traits on the air during the tree lighting ceremony in Rockefeller Center in New York. It challenges everything she thought she knew about herself and her family.

Intern follows the hurdles she must overcome as she learns about being an elf while facing the uncomfortable popularity of being elfed in New York.

Not even my main genre but what storytelling. Thanks Mr. Schubach. It's my current favorite, beating out Fixit. Please more of both!
The mc has great charm and humility, with plenty of humor. Great side characters, flaws and all. Loved the narrator's voice. Good fit for the mc. A few mispronounced words.
This book is highly recommended.

Great, fun, cute series. I can’t wait for the next book. This series is light and fun. If you’ve read any of the “Unleashed” series by Eric Schubach and liked, then you’ll really enjoy this one as well. And Elves! Fun!
Jennifer Darnell does an excellent job narrating as well.

Lots to like!

This book was a perfect break from my usual genre. The story flowed at a nice pace & I found the characters endearing. Narration was upbeat & fit the characters well. I’ll definitely be reading the next installments in this series & keeping an ear out for anything else narrated by Jennifer Darnell. Great job!

A light, fun, story 💜

Wonderful story Erik Schubach
I enjoyed the performance of Jennifer Darnell

Elfed in New York brings together a little comedy with a dash of mystery, a pinch of action, and just a tiny touch of love.
Follow along with Killishia Renner as she learns what it is to be an Elf after living nearly twenty-five years as a human. Now someone is killing Elves in New York and she wants to know why the Elves are hiding it. Come along for the ride you just might a laugh and a giggle along the way.

The only thing I did not like about this book is that it was at least a couple of chapters short if not more…I did not want it to end. I would love for this book to turn into at least a two book series if not more.

I have been ELFED!!

One of the issues I often dislike in modern books shows up here. That is an exceedingly pro homosexual attitude, as well as in exceedingly overall sexual attitude. That might be just par for the course with this particular author, but otherwise the story is very well written and enjoyable and sexuality is not the theme. You will probably suspect me of being biased, and other than my review being read I really don't care because I'm not. Rather, it is the increasingly more common pro homosexual attitude in public media that is biased. You could say that casually or enthusiastically embracing homosexual feelings and reactions as they lead to homosexual behavior conditions a following generation to be more inclined to do the same.

While I'd prefer to just talk about all the good content in this book since I did enjoy it, I actually stopped pursuing this series many months ago when there was only one book published because I didn't want to see an increasingly homosexual theme dominate the storyline. Having seen the book series grow I suspected that the author didn't go on such an undesirable tangent so I restarted it.

If you are a fan of investigative reporting, revealing and punishing corruption, and finding out the mysteries of one's own heritage and culture, this book could be a treat for you since all those are the prevalent theme.

Just in case you really wanted to hear more of my opinion so that you can assign it a category or stereotype, I suppose I'll say just a bit more. Real homosexual feelings are not fully understood by the majority of people including homosexual people because our culture and our society in modern day is largely conditioned to misunderstand human sexuality entirely. Thus understanding the minority difference within such a large and essential part of human life is always going to be a little bit tinted. This is a subject of my study and it is not meant as criticism of this book anymore than other books with similar traits or genre. I am of course interested in reading the rest of the series at this time.

Political, but simple. Not exceedingly corrupt.

Very boring, everything is about silly politics, political correctness and privileges between races, practically no real action. The main character is like an 8 years old girl in the body of a 25 years old woman. Save your money and avoid this book like a plague.

Do not waste your money.
