Publisher's summary

Jessica Moxly needed a distraction. Plagued by horrific nightmares, actually visions, and an upcoming job interview, she was desperate for something else to think about.

In a last-ditch effort to dream about something, anything that didn't involve blood or fear, she asks her witch friend's Goddess for help.

Then the dreams about him started. A beautiful man with no face but icy pale blue eyes began to haunt her dreams with the promise of passion.

Sebastian was happy as producer and head of security for Angel Knight, the rock star and California Clan Leader. His plate was full and he was content.

Until he saw her.

She was the image of a woman from his past, a past he had desperately tried to put behind him. A chance meeting a local club ended in a night of passion. No matter what he did, he could not erase her from his mind.

When she shows up on the doorstep of the Knight Estate to interview for the open accountant position, he knows his life is about to get much more complicated.

Torn by his past, and leery of his future, Sebastian must decide whether or not to let this woman into his life.

When local mated vampires start turning up dead, Jessica decides to help seek out information at a local church that preaches vampire hate. She finds herself in more trouble than she ever thought.

It is then that Sebastian realizes that she is his true mate, and he will do anything to protect her from the rising danger.

But will love be enough to stop the hate?

I loved the story line of this book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Into the Light?

When they broke into Angel's house.

What aspect of Robert Neil DeVoe’s performance would you have changed?

although he was good he didn't have any emotions in his voice which would of made the book even better.

A fun read even if it borrowed heavily from Sookie

What made the experience of listening to Into the Light the most enjoyable?

It was a fun listen and made me laugh. I don't know if I was supposed to laugh, but I did. I enjoyed this book even if it did borrow heavily from Anne Rice and Charlaine Harris. French vampire rockstar and a very similar plot to Living Dead in Dallas.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Into the Light?

Jaques was my favorite character.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

He did okay, women's voices were a little eye roll worthy but not too bad. He did mispronounce one word several times and that makes me COMPLETELY insane! Why doesn't someone, anyone bother to check these types of things before release?

Any additional comments?

Soooo Goood!!!

So good... This series is going to be simply awesome...book after book...

Like with book one... you don't expect such an awesome story....maybe the cover throws you off a bit...but dang... this book just continued on where book 1 left off...well 3yrs later...as Angel has a 3yrs daughter who is causing terror... lol...

This story is about Angel's second in command Sebastian... Oh my... I feel so sorry for Bastian and all he has been through... only to find his true mate again... and this time around he is not letting her go!!! Jessica is tormented by nightmares, and when she ask the goddess to let her dream about something else...like the man of her dreams... well...lets just say she got her wish...

Jessica and Sebastian are great...but it was the secondary characters that I loved in this one... I cannot wait to get to Jacques' story... Boy that is gonna be a good one...

Narration was good.. no complaints...

This is a good credit, sale or buy... well worth it...

Not great if you're looking for a vampire story.

Any additional comments?

This book was severely lacking in so many ways. There was so little story with only about two chapters worth of action with the church. Every one of the contrived scenes and situations earned an eye-roll from me. The writing and dialogue was clunky. The only thing that saved this for me was the steamy scenes.

I couldn't help but feel like Robert Neil DeVoe had a difficult time with this one. He sounded a bit uncomfortable with the steamy scenes and resorted to a monotone through most of them.

Not great if you're looking for a vampire story.

Into the Light bk 2

Any additional comments?

.I enjoyed this book.It was along the lines of Jeanine Frosts 'Grave' books...which I love.Jessica is having horrible nightmares so she asks her Witch friend for help to alter them. Soon she's having visions and meeting the people she is dreaming about. It changes her life forever.Robert Neil DeVoe is a fine narrator for this book.He made the characters come to life.
I did not read bk 1.I was gifted this copy for an honest review

New characters and the loss of others

The second in this series. It had an ok story. Sorry to see one of the couples eliminated. The narrator occasionally mispronounces words like bodice and a lot of the characters sound alike and the villains sound like they are play acting- very over dramatic.

I COULD PICTURE EVERY AWESOME CHAPTER

Jessica and Sebastian's love story was about reincarnation, soul-mates, second chances and taking a chance on love..... despite the possibility of loss. Their story is romantic, funny, sexy and totally captivating as Jessica has to resort to some devilish tricks to break down Sebastian's resolve not to be mated. There's also a Church full of hateful humans and it's evil leader who is obsessed with ridding the world of mated Vampires a few at a time and he brings shocking discoveries, heartbreak and drama into Angel Knight's house and his band of brothers. So this listen also has suspense, danger, thrills and a couple of tragic deaths which was sad.

Danielle James has written another awesome listen that's more about the tight friendship between this family of Vampires than it is about them being Rock Stars and the emotional angst filled drama they each get into while trying to claim their mates. Multiple POV's but the focus was on Jessica and Sebastian but the loveable secondary characters added to this listen and so too did the Narrator.

Worth a credit? As long as DJ continues to write these imaginative, intriguing and intense stories then I'll keep buying them. So YES another winner that was worth the credit?

Loved this book!

This is a well written book about vampires, werewolves and humans all getting along and living together. The plot is excellent too! This book had me on the edge of my seat so many times and even brought me to tears a few times. I loved it!!!

Jessica Moxley interviews for a new job at the headquarters of a well known vampire family. Sebastian and Angel both believe she is the same Jessica that Sebastian lost long ago. Jessica gets the job as accountant for them and so much more. Jessica ends up marrying Sebastian. Vampires are dying though. Jessica takes it upon herself and her friend Franky to explore around and fall into a trap. Read along as the vampire family rescue the ladies and learn who is out killing their own family.

The author, Danielle James did a superb job writing this book. It has danger, love, hot sex, mystery & suspense in it. The narrator Robert Neil DeVoe delivered this story to us flawlessly with his many voices and accents (loved the french accent).

great book

Another great book. I liked everything about it. It followed a predictable plot line, but was very entertaining. The narrator did an excellent job and held my attention.
