About this listen

No longer hidden behind the curtain… the Humtars walk among us. How will their return impact the Galactic Empire's wars?

With the help of his uncle, Captain Tim Haas has smuggled out a virus that is highly deadly to the Zodarks. After the attack on Sol, this weapon of mass destruction would be an instrument of revenge, of justice, for billions of people.

Will it be discovered before he can use it? Would such a genocidal act threaten the Republic's position in the Empire or strengthen it?

After what transpired with the Orbots, the Dominion alliance has been thrown into chaos. The Zodarks not only face external threats but infighting as well.

Despite these challenges, the war is far from over.

You'll love this tenth installment in the epic Rise of the Republic military sci-fi thriller series because the action will keep you up at night.

Lots of of interesting ins and outs and clever plot twist while staying consistent and true to the "Into" series ... a very good 10th installment! Johnathan Davis's captivating voice really helps to move this story along!

James Rosone's "Into the Reckoning" hits the mark as a solid entry in the Rise of the Republic series, packing a punch with its action-filled storyline. As the tenth book in the lineup, it doesn't disappoint, further expanding the intricate universe Rosone has built over time.

The plot kicks off with a bombshell: the Humtars, previously lurking in the shadows, are now out in the open. This game-changer throws a wrench into the already tense situation within the Galactic Empire, cranking up the pressure and tossing some curveballs at our main characters.

Rosone's knack for blending political intrigue with high-octane action shines through, keeping readers on their toes. The character development continues to impress, with familiar faces evolving alongside the introduction of new, compelling players in this cosmic chess game.

The ending is doozy. Rosone wraps things up with a bang, leaving just enough loose ends to have readers itching for the next installment. All in all, "Into the Reckoning" proves that ten books in, this series still has plenty of fuel in the tank.

An Awesome Continuation of an Epic Sci-Fi Saga

I loved the series to begin with but forgot why I stopped listening to it. Then I got to point in this story when the ranger was setting up to release the new plague. OH that’s right they are introducing a new plague to stir up drama! Sorry I am out. I am here hot military SCI FI not hospital drama.

The plague trope!

The series started out good but I think the editor might be asleep . Or maybe the authors are on autopilot, it’s like every character keeps having a moral crisis that drags the story out. also every time it talks about a system it goes into “the quantum system the hontars gave them” we get it. You mentioned twice but you don’t have to mention it every time it’s used . The story could have been way shorter and better. I had to start skip chapters to get to the rest of the story.

Really?

I've really enjoyed this series, but I found this book full of old military clichés and retelling of WWII battles in space. Hopefully the last two books are better.

Disappointed
