Great storytelling

Early on in the book, the narrator makes reference to “AK 74”. I believe it should be AK47. Also it’s not “Hellos”, it’s pronounced “He-Lo” short for helicopters. As a former AF Vet this drove me nuts.

Up to date

The story got to the nifty gritty
And showed just what could be happen if our leaders fall asleep at there jobs if our country people fall down at there job in elections..

Could not stop listening.

First book that hooked me in that it would make me lose track of time. From start to finish I was locked in. Only complaint about this book is some battles got a little long by the end. Scarry part is this could be a non-fiction book with what is going on in the real world these days.

Relevance

For fiction; it definitely hits on many key issues of the time. I hope it makes people think.

Very well told story overall.

Great story that could, in the very near future, be more nonfictional than fiction. Definitely kept me engaged while I passed the time listening while I worked. Biggest complaint was regular mispronunciation of specific words like hello instead of Hilo for helicopter. It was a ton of accurate to life detail and most of all I could almost see us living out this story in the next couple years. As far as apocalyptic stories go, this was one of the better written ones. Definitely recommend.

Solid story

I enjoyed it this series immensely however could you use some corrections on some of the Marines interaction rank and the like. The only GySgt to be a platoon sergeant in the infantry are Weapons Platoon Sergeants in the Battalions. Along with the fact that Sgt’s are squad leaders. Keep writing but when writing about about different services. Collaborate with an expert.

Solid Story, Brutally Painful Narration

Incredibly compelling and gripping plot, it was all too easy to see these story lines potentially playing out in real life.

That being said, this was probably the most painful Audible narration I've ever inflicted upon myself. The narrator's droning cadence and over-enunciated pronunciation style often came across as a tenured, burned-out kindergarten teacher reading a Dick and Jane book to their class just prior to nap time. Even listening at 1.25 speed, it was a slog to continue listening at many points.

To finish critiquing the narration, I cannot emphasize enough the need to consult with a military veteran or three to ensure proper pronunciation of military jargon and acronyms.

Apologies for spending most of this review ripping on the narration but that's my biggest take away from this book. This narrative performance was a terrible disservice to the author and what was otherwise a great story.
