About this listen

Christmas in the sleepy Scottish fishing village of Gandiegow this year is a time for quilting, patching up broken hearts, and rekindling an old flame...

After pulling herself out of a three-year fog of grief over the loss of her husband, Joe, Rachel is bringing their five-year-old daughter to see his hometown of Gandiegow and visit with his grandfather. But Rachel wasn't planning on running into Joe's cousin, the man who made her have second thoughts at the altar...

Brodie has come home to help his grandfather's fishing business, but he'd prefer not to see Rachel. Although she did break his heart six years ago, the grip she has on him hasn't faltered. If they can stop butting heads long enough and learn to overcome the past, they may find new love in the new year...

I love these books so much! Everything about them. I’m sad this is the last book in the series.

Love

The narrator is great, I'm a big fan. I loved this book, especially the characters. The youth character was brilliant. The character of the supporting characters was heart warming. Filled with the usual antics, charm, and strife! Deep storyline and characters. I enjoyed this one very much, couldn't put it down.

My top three favorite of all the books

I wish I could read these books more slowly! I’m almost up to date with the Kilts and Quilts series and don’t know when the next one will appear. So enjoyable!

so good Each book is a stand alone read but I would suggest starting with the first book inthe the Kilts and Quilts series.

Loved the whole series

I enjoyed visiting with previously introduced characters and learning about them. Everyone in Gandigow is engaging. I would love to visit this town and learn to sew a quilt. Does such a place really exist??
Rachel and Brody’s relationship is so difficult. I totally understand why Brody feels hurt and angry when they meet 6 years later. However, it is very frustrating that the author waits so long for Brody to accept what he is obviously aware of fairly quickly after being reunited with Rachel and meeting Hannah.
I would prefer a quicker resolution with some time dedicated to how the couple is going to work out their new family dynamic. I suppose that will be learned in future volumes.
This story also offers some romance for 2 other couples who have been waiting to find love.
I am definitely invested in this series, even with the frustration, and will continue to listen.

Engaging Characters; just takes too long for them to come together

I love the Gandiegow books! I wish there was a real place like it where I could go for a quilting retreat!
