It Lives in the Basement: where The Twilight Zone meets H.R. Giger's Alien.

One day your three cats disappear. The next day, your girlfriend. And you think something that's living in your basement killed them.

A strange case lands on Lieutenant Flynn's desk, as he's assigned to investigate the disappearance of a couple and their three cats. It's as if they have vanished into thin air. A few years later, Detective Pete Alvarez investigates a gruesome death of an immigrant in the same house. Along with Detective Carter, they must uncover the truth behind the disappearance, but what they discover is evidence of something completely different.

Do they dare go into the basement to confront it?

It Lives in the Basement

I listened to the story in one evening. I would recommend this to anyone who likes horror stories without graphic description

Lynn Roberts at times I really really liked this narrator. At other times I wish he would have used some emotion in parts without conversation. The parts where the characters talked he did a fantastic job!

It Lives...

People go missing, nothing left but a shoe or two.It turns out an ancient ill conceived critter is reproducing,in a nasty way,and ten eating people. The reading of this book,by Lynn Roberts, was a bit on the dry side.It was an ok book.A 'B'movie horror book.I kept thinking of Stephen Kings 'Dreamcatcher',which was also not a favorite of mine. 'Shit weasels'..

A creepy creature feature, the kind I love.

"This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of Audiobook Blast."

This has the feel of a classic creature feature that I love and it feeds my fear of basements. The creature is slightly elusive throughout the story and, myself being a monster fan, I would have liked if there had been more scenes with the creature because it was such a cool monster. I haven't researched the creature so I don't know if the author has created it or if it is based on actual folklore, but it was damn creepy. I wouldn't want to come face to face with one. Overall it's a pretty good story and I recommend it to all creature fans out there.

Intriguing, Thrilling & Spine Chilling!!

If anyone is looking for a spine chilling & intriguing book - this is the one they need to read. The book and characters are extremely well written, so much so that I was able to create a picture of each one in my minds' eye. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire story waiting for what would happen next. The author writes this story in such a way that it is so compelling that it captures your imagination and runs with it as thrills & chills are weaved throughout. Sahara Foley did an amazing job with this novella, my only complaint is that it was not long enough and left me wanting more.

Lynn Roberts did an excellent job narrating this book. He has a pleasant voice which makes the book more interesting to me. I am unable to listen to a book if the narrators' voice is annoying, which is definitely not the case with Lynn Roberts. He has excellent pace and tone. He portrays the characters perfectly which assists the authors writing of the characters allowing you to picture each of them in your minds' eye.

I definitely recommend this book if you want to be thrilled & scared!!

Don't go down the Basement stairs!

I enjoyed the story and the dialog between the characters which was very natural and down to earth. Farfetched but fun. The narrator did a good job when in conversation mode but a real disappointment otherwise. Narrators for audible books are ACTORS. Great and even good actors make the story come alive. Mr. Roberts did good when in character voice but just READ the words when narrating.

a few chills

I had a few chills listening to this book. especially at the beginning, yikes! the narrator does ok but there is a couple spots where he gets a little monotone. the storyline is good and makes you wonder about any unknown critters that could be hiding and watching. I enjoyed the story just wished for a little more feeling from the narrator. wish I could do 4.5 stars.
