About this listen

Before It Ends with Us, it started with Atlas. Colleen Hoover tells fan favourite Atlas’s side of the story and shares what comes next in this long-anticipated sequel to the #1 Sunday Times bestseller It Ends with Us

Lily and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil co-parenting rhythm when she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas, again. After nearly two years separated, she is elated that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date.

But her excitement is quickly hampered by the knowledge that, though they are no longer married, Ryle is still very much a part of her life—and Atlas Corrigan is the one man he will hate being in his ex-wife and daughter’s life.

Switching between the perspectives of Lily and Atlas, It Starts with Us picks up right where the epilogue for the bestselling phenomenon It Ends with Us left off. Revealing more about Atlas’s past and following Lily as she embraces a second chance at true love while navigating a jealous ex-husband, it proves that “no one delivers an emotional read like Colleen Hoover” (Anna Todd, bestselling author).

I LOVE Everything about this

I love everything about this book!! I love the way Colleen Hoover writes and how she doesn’t dwell on things or drag them out unnecessarily. She has developed so many amazing characters that are so easy to love.

Good story

I loved the story.
I would like more the narrative if the Atlas’s lines could be read by the man and the Lili’s lines by the girl. I don’t love when she puts on a hard voice to pretend to be Atlas.

Disappointing

After all the hype of the book I was disappointed. The overall storyline was underdeveloped and not much actually happened. Wouldn’t it be great if I could get my money back for all the steamy long drawn out sex scenes that I fast forwarded through and the many times that the characters thought about how much they loved each other. It lacked substance and then the ending had me waiting for something to happen. I think this book should rather be defined as a read for teens.

A nice story

I enjoyed it, but really predictable and not as good as it ends with us.

I loved the ending.

I loved when Lily finally got treated the way the she deserves, and that it was Atlas that she got her happy beginning once again.

Coming up to the end of the book I thought that it was going fast, but I wouldn’t change it. As the ending is fantastic.

Much worse than advertised

The plot is predictable and boring. The narrative not so enticing. Far worse than “It ends with us”.
