About this listen

From the Author of War Paint and Nate Grisham

Ex-Confederate Colonel Jake Masters became a bounty hunter following four years of bloody conflict, because all he knew was how to kill. After an Arizona bank robbery turns bad and people die, the robbers turn south into Mexico, thinking they've made a clean getaway. Little do they know, Jake Masters, a bounty hunter who never fails to get a man he's after, is on their trail and he's determined to bring them in...dead or alive. In the Sonoran Desert, hot on the path of the outlaws, Jake meets a beautiful but injured woman, the lone survivor of a vicious Apache massacre. She must come with him or risk crossing the scorching desert alone.

The outlaws, reduced in numbers by Jake to only two men, pull off a successful gold heist in Mexico, and then run with their newly gained riches to Saint Louis. The action never slows down in this western tale of the hunter and the hunted, because Jake Masters doesn't know the meaning of the word quit.

Would you listen to Jake Masters again? Why?

I would and do entend to purchase more audio books by Mr. W. R. R Benton. the naration of Lee Allen.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Jake Masters?

I like the way he tracked down the outlaws, his teniques and actions he displayed.

What about Lee Alan’s performance did you like?

Mr. Alan's naration was supurbed in my opinion. He made you feel as if you were watching a movie instead of listining to a audio. Of course he was reading the works of Mr. W. R. Benton which helped.

If you could take any character from Jake Masters out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Ha. I'll pass on that one.

Any additional comments?

I will deffently look for other books from this aurther in the future.

I love books about Bounty Hunting. This book is about Jake Masters. Jake is a take charge no nonsense Bounty Hunter. I like the way he doesn't take any crap off of the town sheriff's. He lets them know who's in charge. There is good side characters in this story. Jake shows a different side of him. This is easy to follow but I think you have to pay close attention to it. I enjoyed this book. The only one that's on audio is the first one. The next two you have to read. As of now. I hope they put the next two books on audio. Lee Allan does a great job narrating this book. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.
