About this listen

Lucifer has created his own version of the love boat, which means no one is safe. Not even a witch.

My crazy witch of a grandma placed a spell on my locket.

A love spell.

I don’t think so. Which means I’ll have to find my cursed necklace and nullify the magic. But first, I apparently have to go on a cruise with Grandma.

She’s booked a berth on some fancy boat with others like us. You know, the special folk - as in horns, magic, and a bit of fur. No sooner do I park my broom and find my sea-legs when the locket turns up on board -thankfully, not in the possession of the annoying shapeshifter.

Oz is hot, but he’s not my type. Neither is the pirate whom the locket tries to hook me up with. Or the sea monster who gets it next and tries to drown me.

Busy avoiding potential suitors, I find myself hoping the locket will end up in the one place it doesn’t belong: In the grasp of the lion who makes me purr.

enjoy just about everything that Eve Langlais writes. She is wonderful and has me laughing even when I do not want to. This book no expectation.

When we first are introduced to Jane is is not trying to find her future husband. She does not want to go on this cruise either. She is only here to hang out with her grandma and potentially see her parents. I loved Oz. He was not only funny but he was genuinely interested in Jane.

This book was a great installment to this series and I hope that we get to see more of Lucifer. That devil is the best!

couldn't get behind the narrator's. good story. the books have been great leading up to this narrator change. maybe it doesn't bother you if you put time in between books...but when your binging a series it throws you off because you get used to the original narrator's voice. this one the male did better with the female voice and the female did better with the male voice....for my ears. kept with the series storyline though

so so

SAVE MONEY - Each novella is a standalone romance with a unique couple, although the three stories occur simultaneously during the same cruise. Due to the length, get them individually on sale or get novellas 8-10 in a collection.

This novella is more of a spin-off than a continuation of the Welcome to Hell series, with Lucifer as the only character making cameos, so listeners should feel free to start here and not worry about being lost.

I enjoyed the magical Loveboat rom-com between witch Jane and lion-shifter Oz. This novella doesn’t have as much focus on the naughty bits as the original ones, with a slow burn to a naughty but not overly detailed scene 3/4 of the way thru. The story itself has a lot of humor, especially cat jokes. I liked the addition of dual narration, although I miss Ms. Kennedy’s stellar narration for the earlier novellas. Also, there are a couple of editing flubs (including one just after the hour mark where narrator Duran is heard chastising himself with a “GDit Duran!” 😜), but overall the story is fun and sexy and moves breezily along, like any good romance novella should.

Adorable beachy listen- but get the collection
