Sell the cemetery? Over their dead bodies....

Not many people can see the dead (and not many would want to). Twelve-year-old Johnny Maxwell can. And he's got bad news for them: the members of the council want to sell the cemetery as a building site. But the dead aren't going to take it lying down - especially since it's Halloween tomorrow. Besides, they're beginning to find that life is a lot more fun than it was when they were...well...alive. Particularly if they break a few rules.

Personally I refuse to get unabridged books, no matter how much I want to hear them, too much gets left out. I only got this one because I got some credit from audible in a promotion, else I would feel cheated.

Very enjoyable! If only it were unabridged...

Excellent storytelling! Pratchett does not disappoint in his shorter works at all. Also a good read during October.

A fine sequel for Johnny Maxwell

This is the best of the "Johnny" series by Pratchett. It is full of interesting undead as well as realistic live characters. The players are familiar from other "Johnny" books, but this one stands alone, and is a good intro to the Pratchett dynasty. Also, Robinson (from "Black Adder" fame) is a great reader. He holds my attention as much as the story does, and he has a lovely accent and fun character portryals.
"Johnny and the Dead" is a favorite of mine, whether audio or print. I highly recommend it.

Johnny be good
