About this listen

When uptight British bookshop owner Emily Bartlett goes to Las Vegas to get over a humiliating breakup, she's expecting to make a few mistakes. But when she meets Ruby Knight, a pessimistic American C-list TV actress with designs on a movie career, she makes a whopper. The pair get so incredibly drunk together that they end up getting accidentally married.

In the cold light of day, both women are shocked to find themselves wedded to a virtual stranger. But maybe it's not such a big mistake? Could Ruby's marriage to Emily help boost her profile and get her the biggest role of her life, earning Emily a big payday in the process? Only if they can make it seem like they're really in love. And only if they can navigate the treacherous LA movie scene without tripping themselves up and giving the game away. Or worse, getting carried away with their fake relationship...

But what if they do let themselves feel something? Could they fall in love? Or are they just married?

Contains mature themes.

Hollywood marriage

If I was Ruby I would have told her mom off long ago. I give Emily a lot of credit for sticking by Ruby. This story gives you a glimpse of Hollywood behind the scenes. An amusing story with a bit of angst. I loved both of the narrators for this audiobook.

Decent Book!

Overall, decent book. The love story progressed super fast, so much so that I found myself saying really at points, but still it was good to watch. The narrators did a good job as well.

4.5 out of 5

This is your typical romance. I liked the main characters but the mom was a piece of work. And of course the whole don't say how you feel till it's almost too late thing. Other than those two, it's a nice love story - nothing tear worthy though.

Cute story

I am not sure I liked the dual narration, but I liked the story and i got used to the narration.

Story- great. Narration- not so much

I honestly had to turn it off because I couldn't stand the narration any more. I bought a Kindle version and I will read it myself.

So so romance

The story was ok. Yes it was predictable but so are Hallmark stories. There are times that I just want predictable and sweet. The narration however is difficult for me. I have to change the speed to tolerant it.

This book only needed one narrator.

The story itself is not bad. You get what you expect. A predictable fake love to real love story. I’m fine with that. I’m actually writing this before I’ve finished because it’s so annoying. The narrator for Emily is fine as long as you speed her up, but the narrator for Ruby is just plain bad. Putting her at the default speed helps, but it’s still only tolerable. And constantly having to switch speeds is annoying. This book only needed one narrator.

loved the idea...

"Just Married?" was a good audiobook, but it could have been better. the main characters meet at a bar in Vegas and drink and talk for hours and wake up in a hotel room with a wedding certificate. they haven't had sex yet. the one MC is an actress who is on a lame show but her agent/mother wants her to become a bigger star and get in movies so the mom is a controlling bitch the entire time. mom finds out her daughter posted on social media that she married Emily in vegas. mom makes them, grown ass women, pretend to be a real couple because she thinks she'll be taken more seriously and get that movie role. she blackmails poor Emily who is falling for the actress... 1/2 way through the book I still couldn't believe the couple were letting mom control them and keep them apart. took forever for the actress to act like an adult and stand up for herself. wish there was less drama time and a bit more happy time in this book. the book was good, but not the best. narrator was good.

sweet little story

Fake-relationship trope, pining, romantic airport chase. Good story, not crazy graphic smut but enough to know what's going on. the narration of the mother threw me a bit; with one narrator, she had a very country American dialect, with other it was very cool, distant, snobbish. that's my biggest complaint, tbh

Horrible narration, okay story

The narration about killed me. But somehow the story held me long enough to get to the end. Emily’s British voice was nice, and Ruby’s was ok. But the rest made me cringe - Denise’s was the worst, and all male voices sounded just a bit less annoying than Denise’s. This experience would have been so much better with different narration.
