Keegan Quinn watches the passengers disembark wondering where his mail order bride is. All he sees is a woman with a husband and child. Upon approaching the young woman, he discovers she is his bride, and she has a daughter she never mentioned. As they cross the street, the little girl screams for her daddy and points to the man who accompanied them on the stage.
Rancher Keegan Quinn is furious. The married woman swindled him into paying passage for her and her child. It was foolhardy to think a mail order bride would want him. He rides out of town as fast as he can, vowing never to look back. It's a loco dream to think he can have a family while constantly looking over his shoulder.
Addy has no idea why Peg calls the new sheriff daddy. It cost her Keegan, the man she hoped to make a life with. She has many secrets, but the sheriff is not one of them. She needs Keegan to keep her safe from her past in Boston. Once he learns the truth, he'll send her back, but it's a chance she's willing to take.
Can two people who have so much love to give, realize they actually love each other?

Would you consider the audio edition of Keegan's Bride to be better than the print version?
Yes!What did you like best about this story?
I loved the multiple story lines and the fact that is was a "western" love story! HEA's are my favorite. What does Julie Hoverson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She brought an interesting quality to the book. Especially after she was reading for a while her voice relaxed and it sounded more natural.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed and cried! It was such a sweet, sweet story with the main character being a strong, brave woman! She uprooted her niece to save her life whilePotentially getting herself thrown in jail.
Any additional comments?
My only negative about this book was the male voices allSounded very old. I pictured a 27 year old man and they all sounded in the 50's and 60's and on up. Over all though it was an amazing story. Interesting characters with twists and turns you weren't expecting!
Great story!!!

What made the experience of listening to Keegan's Bride the most enjoyable?
I really enjoy this narrator. What about Julie Hoverson’s performance did you like?
Ms. Hoverson brings each character to life. Her inflections and voice make this a very nice audiobook. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Absolutely. Of course part of the reason was because Keegan needed a trip to the woodshed. He finally realized what was important and how much he loved his wife. The ending was wonderful.Any additional comments?
This is a great continuation of the Series by the author. I have enjoyed "meeting" each character and following their story. I can't wait for the next book in the series so that I can return to Asherville, Texas.(I received a copy of the audiobook from the author for a review.)Troubled Souls

Addy had not mentioned she was bringing her "daughter" who was really her niece. She was scared Keegan would have called off the marriage. But things are not always what they appear and as these two begin to get to know each other, truths come out.
Another amazing story by Kathleen Ball and with Julie as the narrator it could not get more perfect.

I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for a fair review!
I really enjoyed the first book in this series, except the sex scenes. I prefer a clean sweet romance, but the storyline was so intriguing I wanted to hear the second book in the series!
I loved this story and the characters! I especially liked how the people from the series tried to fix the evil some of the men thrived on!!
This book has everything! It focused a lot on the growing relationship, the inner turmoil, and self-hate talk we all seem to fall prey to. There is action, mystery, and new characters added to keep this series going strong! There was a shorter sex scene in this book and fast forwarding 20 seconds skipped it.
Kathleen is a strong and thoughtful writer! She brings subjects to the forefront that many are afraid to talk about. This book includes the way some mail order brides were deceived and sold as sex slaves to Indians or sold daily as soiled doves. It also discusses the spousal and child abuse that is kept so hush hush even currently.
Strong author!

This is a western romance mail order bride story and its about a woman (Addy) and a man (Keegan) running from their pasts while they learn to build a loving life together.Addy's daughter, Peg, is cute and interesting to see her call a complete stranger, "daddy".
Keegan doesn't stop to asks questions, he just believes that Addy has taken advantage of him and he rides off "into of the sunset".
At one point in the story, Keegan acts like a real "so-and-so", he treats Addy and Peg horribly and the author doesn't show enough remorse afterwards.
Overall the story line was ok but the author left several questions unanswered and she could have done a little better with Keegan's actions..
* Julie Hoverson did well with the character's voices and added an extra depth to the story.
