About this listen

As the 20th century breathes its very last, with Britpop at its zenith, 27-year-old A&R (artist and repertoire) man Steven Stelfox is slashing and burning his way through London's music industry. Blithely crisscrossing the globe in search of the next megahit - fueled by greed and inhuman quantities of cocaine - Stelfox freely indulges in an unending orgy of self-gratification. But the industry is changing fast and the hits are drying up, and the only way he's going to salvage his sagging career is by taking the idea of "cutthroat" to murderous new levels.

I only finished in hopes that the main character would get what was coming to him. John niven’s novel O Brother is far better

Would you recommend Kill Your Friends to your friends? Why or why not?

This novel really nails the darker perspective of life. The main character is the worst and the best all at the same time, making you wonder if you're just as insane as he is. The 90s flare of music and references isn't a bad touch either.

The author has done a fantastic job describing and detailing how it’s like to be in the music industry. This book is full of unexpected texts and was quite enjoyable to read/listen to. Highly recommend for anyone who’s a musician or is looking to join the industry.

This Book is as nasty as the music industry.
