About this listen

This is the infamous follow-up to Serial Uncut, featuring 21 different serial killers.

For everyone who thinks the bad guys are so much more fun to read than the good guys, we’ve written a novel just for you.

In the annuls of modern thriller fiction, the villains always steal the show. We love to read and watch great villains. In many cases, they’re the best, most entertaining parts of our books, so it only made sense to write a book featuring every major villain we’ve ever written.

They’re all here...Lucy and Donaldson from Serial, Orson and Luther from Desert Places, Locked Doors, and Break You, Mr. K from Shaken, Alex and Charles Kork from Whiskey Sour and Rusty Nail, Isaiah from Abandon, Javier from Snowbound, and many, many more from the Crouch and Konrath/Kilborn books including Trapped, Run, Bloody Mary, Afraid, Endurance, and Shot of Tequila.

If you liked Serial Uncut, Killers Uncut is going to blow your mind, scar your soul, and scare you to death.

If you haven’t listened to anything by Crouch, Kilborn, or Konrath, Killers Uncut is the perfect introduction to the dark side of their universe.

And if you enjoy a good bad guy (or bad girl), you’re going to love this.

Because there are twenty-one of them featured in this book.

Beyond a thrilling piece of horrifying suspense, Killers Uncut also takes the collaborative literary experiment begun in Serial and Killers to the next level, with most of the novel having been written online, where the authors could simultaneously write in real time. All bets were off, and may the best psycho win.

Best short story book ...

I have read everything these folks have written, and this was my favorite so far. If you're a fan of extreme , unadulterated horror and skin-crawling details. A lot of characters from each author interact together , which makes for an interesting book. Although presented as short stories these flow together in a way that is fun for disturbed individuals like myself.

A masterpiece of horror /serial killing for all

Oh my God. If you are not already a huge fan of Crouch and Kilborn, you need to start. If you already are a fan, and have read some of their others. You'll meet most of your familiar faces at different moments in their lives. I have read all and just for fun, I'm doing all their books on audio. Very very exciting! I highly recommend this audio book. Enjoy

Incredible series

Loved the continuing story of these horrific but beautifully ugly characters.I got hooked on Kilborn as soon as I read Afraid .It was my first ebook read.I thought it was up there with anything from King Koontz or early Mcammon. Then I found Crouch and it was on from there .I wish there was more material and it was still evolving.I am a huge fan.Crouch has got mainstream success. But I will hold out hope that these two will revisit this series in the future.

Horrific, perverted and GRAPHIC

Where does Killers Uncut rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Not quite my kind of book, although I couldn't stop listening to it. Not sure that I can blame the story (there are very sick people out there) but it was almost TMI about the lives and behaviors of serial killers.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The relationships between serial killers. It seems like anytime a serial killer has a run-in with other serial killers a) they can recognize each other as serial killers b) they bond and develop a relationship c) seem to gravitate back to each other eventually. I am not fond of stories that skip to the future, back to the past, then to the present and this book is full of that. Couple in the fact that it tells the story of multiple killers' lives, it sometimes left me trying to figure out where we were in the timeline and who's life we were reading about.

Which scene was your favorite?

The opening story where we learn about Luther's past was so intense for me.

Any additional comments?

This is the follow-up to Serial and It's hard for me to say whether I'd recommend Killers or not. This is NOT the type of book I usually enjoy and the subject matter is graphic and scary as hell. But I could not stop listening and that counts for something.

A Cavalcade of Killers!

Story - 4.5 Stars
Narration - 4.5 Stars

In “Killers Uncut” by Blake Crouch, Jack Kilborn & JA Konrath nearly everyone is a psychopath, but the book is schizophrenic in that it contains so many killer individuals.

The book consists of stories that are chapters in these killers' lives. In some of these stories the characters are “working“on each other, so you have a sort of slapstick splatter punk. The stories are loosely connected so the whole feels sort of like a novel.

I particularly liked a part in the beginning, that highlighted a few of those developing psychos as children.

All in all, this could have been more brutal to live up to its Warning, but I still enjoyed it emensly.

The Narration was effective and easy to listen to.

Recommended but not that Extreme

WOW

This book is a terrific insight into the characters of all three authors. A few years ago when I first listened to this book I had never read anything by these authors, now I have read almost everything they have written.
