About this listen

New York Times best-selling author Faye Kellerman delivers an electrifying crime novel of suspense as a young man's obsessive investigation into his sister's death draws him into the path of a sadistic serial killer.

While Ben and Ro found happiness as a couple in part 1, Ben's obsession with his sister's murderer continues to consume him. Now, on Christmas day, he will make his way to Berkeley, hoping to find answers before the killer strikes again. Will Ben and Ro find the missing pieces before it's too late?

The second Part was hot--teen romance--the intensity of the energy of first love--and the intensity of the search for the killer-- it was a page turner--my headphones were smoking!!

Love the character development of Roe.

But don't make me wait for the whole story!!

Oh Baby Hot! Hot! Hot!

This book has a great story line and the voiceover actor, Charlie Thurston, is very entertaining.
It’s building to a suspenseful conclusion which is why I’ve listened to the Parts 1 & 2 in 2 days and will finish Part 3 today.
I’m a Faye Kellerman fan so this series has been a real treat.

A very engaging listen

I can always depend on Faye Kellerman to keep me entertained
In the summertime. In the winter I read non fiction but summer I relax.

As always, Faye Kellerman provides great summer reading

After listening to Part 2 of this novel I am even more convinced that its correct genre is YA fiction which is fine with me.

2 weeks until the release of the final part!

Book: The Narrator could have been better. I am looking forward to hearing Part 3.

I teach high school English so perhaps that’s what draws me to these characters. Also, Faye Kellerman makes me feel every ache their young hearts experience. Plus, the suspense of the main mystery is quite compelling. If you were able to enter into the lives of the quirky middle schoolers of Stranger Things or the young leads of Twilight and you also love suspense, you’ll want to hop right on board to help this cast of characters catch a killer! (I am saving part 3 because I don’t want this case to be over so soon!)

Compelling & Heartbreaking

Great book

I will not ever buy a book broken up in 3 parts again. After a couple weeks I lost some of the key facts in the first part and it took me awhile to catch up. I like being able to listen to the entire thing and having a resolution. Seems like a ploy to make more money.

Frustrating way to release a book

The first installment in this series was a great detective mystery! Part 2 on the other hand is more about teenage sex and high school drama than it is a detective mystery. I hope part 3 returns to the quality of part 1. Story gets 2.5 stars.

The narrator was excellent. I give Charlie Thurston 5 stars!

Not as good as the first one
