Publisher's summary

A work of art. A mysterious number. A secret worth killing for.

When reclusive artist Gabriel Quinn is gunned down outside a gallery on Oxford High Street, Detective Inspector Bridget Hart investigates the world of contemporary art, where paintings can change hands for millions in the auction room.

Bridget is convinced that the last words spoken by the artist - a mysterious code of eight digits and a letter - are key to unraveling the mystery of his death.

But when her ex-husband, Ben, now a senior detective with the Metropolitan Police in London, shows up with new information about the murdered man, Bridget's personal and professional lives are brought crashing together with dramatic consequences.

Attention holding story with plot twists.

I enjoy the Bridget Hart series. I listen on Audiobooks and enjoy the quick pace and the woman narrator is very good. I have listened to the Bridget Hart series and am now listening a second time,

Continuing character development.

Good story. Just plain good entertainment! Good plot twists, too.
Not heavy reading. A good car or house work book.

I'm loving this series! and I love the narrator.

great series, really really appreciate that it's well written and the great vocabulary. Also the narrator is wonderful, I actually found the series searching for books narrated by her.

I like the series

I like this series. I read the first 2 back to back. It’s a good police procedural with likable characters. Great narrator. Similar in writing style to the Cavendish & Walker Series by Sally Rigby.

Another great read

I am really enjoying this series. Great atmosphere of place, character development, twisting and unexpected story line. In both the first and second volume I was surprised by the ending. Looking forward to completing all published volumes.

Likeable story and characters

The only complaint about this is the need for editing. We get the same descriptions or points or observations more than once and in odd places sometimes. There's a good bit of the same repetition from the first book. The books are still engaging but they could flow more smoothly.

To much darkness

I can’t continue this series. There is just too much darkness and not enough light. I just kept hoping it would get better.

Just ok

I just couldn’t get into the main character as a policewomen the story got lost in her personal musings Al thought the villain at the end was a nice twist
