About this listen

Kate Lundy, owner of the Tumbling B, and Conn Dury, her foreman, told Tom the rules: men from the cattle drives are forbidden on the north side of town. People appreciated the money the cowboys spent but thought them too coarse to be near their homes. Enticed to come calling by Linda McDonald, daughter of one of the leading citizens, Tom Lundy broke the law and crossed the line. Later that night, he was dead. Outraged by her brother's murder, Kate vows to destroy the entire town. But when Aaron McDonald sends east for an army of hired guns, Conn Dury and the men of the Tumbling B soon wonder if the price of Kate's revenge is too high.

I Love Louis L'Amour Novels, but...

Each time I read a novel by Louis L'Amour I am reminded why he is the "King of Westerns". L'Amour's novels are not of the "cookie-cutter" variety, but Kiowa Trail is unlike others in that it seems incomplete, leaving the reader wondering-- 'what happened to Kate's plan, in her resolve to avenge the death of her young brother, which she has set into motion?. What happened to the town?'

All in all it's an enjoyable read and narrated very well. I'm glad I purchased it; and recommend it.

Suspenseful and enjoyable

I enjoyed the story. It has a lot of twists and turns. The ending is certainly not predictable.

Well done

If you could sum up Kiowa Trail in three words, what would they be?

Not Typical L'amour

What about Ron McLarty’s performance did you like?

He perofrmed all of the voices very well and gave distinction and heart to his characters.

Any additional comments?

Very well done - a slightly different, may I say darker, story for L'amour. A great read and an even better listen
